Thanks! 3D printing is a game-changer for the hobbyist albeit perhaps not yet a cost effective one. Regarding multicolored plastic/acrylic dowels, I have seen them around and there are a few companies in my area that manufactures pieces from ABS, nylon, acrylic, lexan, and Acetal, in a variety of colors, for wholesale.
Nice job. I do have one idea, maybe you already tried it. Instead of lining up the dowel with the line each time, what about using a small clamp and attaching it to the back of your jig for the size of markers you want. That way you just have to slide the dowel over and it will stop at the right place for you to then push the jig through and cut the marker without having to make sure you eyeballed it correctly to the line each time. Thanks much!. I have not tried that. It is a very good idea, and would eliminate the need to eyeball the line for every cut, thus reducing fatigue. I recently made some mods to my jig for blade safety and cut stop. I will work work your suggestion in as well and see how it works. Rock on!
I have the Mighty Mite but need to order the thin blades. I wonder if the Might Mite would be able to cut through aluminum or brass rod? It would save a lot of time. I will definitely buy the plastic rod. Thank you for the tips!
No, probably not through any metal. that particular table top saw is terribly under powered. Works on soft wood like pine or poplar, however forget it with true hardwoods like oak, maple or cherry. Made over 500 cbgs and have used a scroll saw and reserve the blade, score the fretboard at the appropriate spot and bring board from behind the blade and carefully and slowly align the mark with the blade and cut to 1/32" or eyeball it to depth. EZ, can do about 10 fretboards in an hour including scoring and cutting.
Thank you very very much man be sure im gonna use this original téchnique.. i think its easier to get a better finish that way especially with stained fretboards...all your guitars are 23 " scale lenght?

Yes, very durable and when cut they have a nice shine giving them that pearloid look. Rock on!
Yes, scale is always 23 inches for my builds unless someone I'm building for specifies otherwise.
