1:07:00 the antenna is really in there for you to be able to invite people to your settlement and quickly recall all squads, the areas you can’t directly enter are called expeditions and you just send your squad to the marked point, you don’t get much say in what happens on that zone
I’m guessing it is this way just due to the amount of data and memory it would take to have larger areas

If you hit the push to talk buttom on the bottom right of your screen, the radio tower let's you signal survivors to come to your base. Sometimes they will be friendly, sometimes they will be hostile.

As for expanding off the map your starting on id say you probably have to search all the buildings in your map is what I’m thinking not sure though
i am also really enjoying this game cant wait for more updates! a thing i noticed that you seem to not see is that you can destroyed buildings for resources in the bottom right corner when you click on it, i tend to do that for the small buildings that are not worth making into anything

two AK's with one being on the driver is wasting one AK as the driver does not shoot. Better to set the pistol on the driver.
Love your videos mainly for all the mistakes
Split squad when you want to get an additional car, find car, select when squad when near car, click split squad button, drag 1 squad member to new squad and take the car.
Research centre's need 15 to 20 people to be optimized.
1st day get car and hit all gun locations police stations etc. Second squad clears closest buildings.
Sometimes clicking buildings doesn't adapt the whole building manually adapting especially shelters fixes this.
Hq max is around 329 storage anything else is a waste. Use the bigger buildings for warehouses.
Hold off on the antenna, I believe this causes you to get hit by the military earlier. Find roaming groups of people until you've set up defenses, then build antenna.
Ignore brick the start, focus on wood first and metal second.
Guard towers should be empty during the day unless there is a big storm.
Anyway, keep up the content it's fun and occasionally frustrating 🙃

To shoot through the front of the Whitehouse, move your squads to the sides of thr building. They will be able to shoot then.

To use the antennae tower you press the push to talk in the bottom right and press invite it helps you get people. Also you want a larger research place because otherwise it takes way to long
