I love watching the mothers with their babies being allowed to nurse and that fills my heart with joy compared to other videos that are not so touching as yours are. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your well-documented videos. I truly enjoyed them.
I couldn’t agree more! I deeply appreciate the approach this channel takes. I’ve seen no shortage of consideration for the wildlife. I’ve enjoyed the observations documented here as they are done in a respectful manner while being cognizant of the potential negative implications caused by humans. From what I’ve seen the channel has done well not to contribute negatively and still manages to get great content! Well done and thank you!! :)
Matriarch is probably getting on the younger mothers nerves. I know she would mine. I feel bad for the mother and her baby. She’s literally acting like she’s the grandmother of the baby 😂
This young mother is one of the prettiest I have ever seen, with the curls framing her face! I feel blessed to have been able to see her, & her sweet baby. Thank you!
Thank you for the glimpse into the softer side of wild. It's so soothing in today's world where gentleness, caring, and compassion are in short supply.
honestly that was about the sweetest time i have ever seen. so peaceful and for the most part, kind. thank you for taking the time to film this and then to share with us.
Your photography is beautifully clear, watching the monkeys in the trees with their families almost made me want to cry it's so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful viedos .May God bless you always .
Although I am just now seeing this video almost 8 years later, I still love how good this mother treated her baby so well, & with so much love and care. I love your videos and you are amazing at what you do. Thank you for sharing your hard work. Many blessings to you and all of the monkeys too.😊
It is always joyful to see when a mother, tortured by endless childbirth, gives the little one the opportunity to get the first milk in order to survive in a cruel reality. He DIDN'T ASK here, where you have to fight for your life with the first breath of air ...
This is a beautiful video Arroz. I found your site about a month ago. Still going through some old and new videos. What a lovely insight to the Mama, Grannies, and babies. Watching the babies and moms makes me melt. So heartwarming. This video is 5 years old. It is wonderful to have such a lovely library of so many years of monkeys to watch. Thank you, Arroz. 🐇
Mr Marsico, I love watching Your beautiful viedos . I was wondering how is Stumpy, Bat ears, and Red nose, I so love your viedos on Elder and Neglect Monkeys of the wild .Your viedos are beautifully taped. I also loved, Where is mum. Thank you for sharing your beautiful experience with the baby monkey. May God bless you always, Your story educating us and Sharing. I really only follow your and Mr Page viedos .Your so kind to the beautiful animals that means so much I know that God will Bless you always for taking care of his innocent creatures .
Arroz Marisco I know you very seldom answer questions poised by your followers but I am wondering WHY do the Japanese show so much more respect to the rhesus monkey as apposed to other cultures and country’s I.E Cambodia , India , China , Vietnam they are so abusive and torturous to these Long tail macques monkeys ! I just read that it was not till the 60’s that “snow monkeys “ of japan were introduced to hot water tubs, that these were not natural hot springs?!?! Really ? I’m so confused? Really these are man made hot springs to help these snow monkeys to stay warm? I’m so amazed IF THIS IS TRUE!! God bless whom ever devised this for the snow monkeys!! Still I wonder WHY ARE THE JAPANESE SO KIND to these monkeys when the rest of the countries I named are just so cruel?? When I compare the relationship you (Arroz) have with your troops , and the shameful acts that the VO’s in other said regions have with the long tail macaques and short tails it’s is just appalling 😡‼️
I love how the young mother starts grooming the matriarch around the 22:40 mark. It was almost a way to distract the matriarch from wanting to hold the baby, but the matriarch (granny) seems to really enjoy the grooming. And it is so beautiful the way the monkey is staring at the baby at 25:56 :) You captured a beautiful video, thanks for sharing! Happy Mother's Day!!!
Oh my goodness Mr. Marisco, that was the youngest baby I've seen yet! The mother was beautiful, and that little lamb, 'agneau' which is lamb in French and sounds like 'anew' in English. That's what I would name this baby. It would work for a boy or a girl, and what a lovely little lamb. The way these mothers embrace and cuddle their infants, reminds me of my young mothers as I am an old pediatric RN. Human mothers gaze into their babies faces in just the same way. The other females especially the matriarch were so gentle. Another sensitive, thoughtful video.
This video is a little piece of cinematic art :-) I hope she found enough to eat so she can make milk for the baby. They seem to lead life right on the edge of tragedy most of the time.
The baby 's born in the right season there would be plenty for everyone. As long as the baby doesn't succumb to some natural disease I think things would work out nicely as they always do.
speaking of classy? ... this video! beautiful. thank you. I found myself wishing mama monkey was a bit more willing to let matriarch hold baby, not sure why, silly. I love your videos
Wow what a cool video! Seems so different from what we normally see for the females. It was a BIT frightening at first, but your prologue was perfectly in place to explain. Thank you!
I think this is the first time we’ve been introduced to Nora - not a new mom that doesn’t know how to reposition her baby. It’s Nora, the baby abuser and Nan trying to help the innocent little baby 😢
Taken over the area? They live up in the hills nowhere near people and have been there for forever, before any humans starting going there. So not sure what you’re talking about
Is there anyway of putting posters explaining to tourists about the way the monkeys conduct themselves as they all belong to groups and hierarchy within each group. I ask as that may help stop some of the conflicts in them when food is thrown out. I am all for teaching people even if it does fall deaf on some ears. Others like myself who did not know this appreciated you teaching me in your documentaries!! Many, many thanks Arroz, just a thought.
When people start to understand that animal don't have mind, they don't think, all their action is by instinct, there is not such things others female give her honor, it is imagination of human mind trying to give meaning their natural behavior. They are protective of their offspring it is nature preserving the specie, if not they would not survive as a specie, it is territorial behavior.
Mr Arroz: so it’s the holidays approaching any day. I wish I could invite you to the POSADAS in my neighborhood and gift you with some of my jefa’s excellent tamales..take care:)...charlene/el Monte (SGV)....California
5:48 Is it just me or does the Lady remind of the baby snatcher? And she kind of reminds me of the one with the dead baby, that it carries around for a week.
That is Nora she look so young but even then She’s not good w babies. I just don’t think being a mother is for Nora. It’s okay. We humans have a choice they don’t. Is I. Thire nature. To have babies if that makes any sense.
Arroz did you ever figure out whom this young mother was & the baby??? She kinda reminds me of a much younger Sally??? Still catching up on older vids...
This is truth these monkeys male and female they're good monkeys babies lovers but Cambodian monkeys OMG they're babies killers don't matter male or female am thinking that's depend on people behavior too I love only Chinese monkeys they have respect each others
This was last year but I just seen it, they all sure seemed to love the new baby I didn't notice any others with a baby? The new mom seemed to be doing a good job sure wished she got something to eat poor girl child birth is hard on every female us that have given birth know how tired she is..
Arroz Marisco And the few that have baby's people are stealing them and freaking trying to make them walk on two legs wear clothes! Then when they get to the age of these bigger baby's they for sure can't handle them and they posion them and get a new born again, I swear it hurts my heart to see it!
Arroz Marisco I just watched some people return a pig tail baby she was beautiful with blonde hair to the monkey park in Cambodia they just turned this little baby free she got beat up attacked by a big male and one older female pig tail adopted her, the poor baby wanted to nurse and couldn't but she was a smart little thing learned people will feed her she was doing good and those camera guy's never gave her peace she seen her mom across the street and ran to her a bus hit her😥
This has been a very long time I seen rats in the vegetables. The one I have seen eating the crops are more like rabbit, squirrels, deers and my least like of every is called rat snakes in the fields. They are not for food nor not crops they are after rabbits and other critters. For all creatures is something else for its a creature. Like the monkeys that are now in Ocala, Fl that were brought here. There is very amusement entertainment in that every anymore and the one they have brought to the area an the monkeys have learned to survive and giving life to more. No these guys mostly live in the top of the tree and them can climb that the monkeys have gave down to the ground and now are taking all the deers feeders. Now I live in the country and I have deer feed that I place along the lane of the road and I just enjoy watching them to come up and I keep an idea if people are trying to kill the deers when it is not season. I started hearing the turkeys in the tree in the trees in the trees in the tree coming down And got food for the birds so I also blasted bird bath and feeders and I have placed placing for the birds to have a place to lay the babies. During the time all these creatures don’t eat the grapes, figs or pecans and they haven’t eating no of my melon or the sunflowers. I buy large bags of peanuts and sunflower nuts. I don’t allow anyone to shoot not one creature and I have the best birds that no one has seen them. The people from the wild life rangers and they came by and she could not belief the birds and others. So if you treatment the monkeys or birds in that area you will be happy the kindness will be back.
Just my opinion but I don't see any of what was stated. The first Monkey straight up took the baby. After two attempts poor Mom finally retreats to a tree to get away from her and she sits under Mom pulling on her baby's tail so she slowly sinks down and is nabbed. Then Mom is stuck on the tree from the others blocking her access to leave. She wanted no part of them and all they wanted was her baby. It was left with a group of females not allowing her off the tree and fighting over the baby. There was no sunshine and rainbows only a very anxious Mother who's walked into a pack of nappers.
The more I watch these videos, it seems that the babies use the mothers nipple for more than just nutrition. It seems the use it for a sense of security. Is that accurate? (Trying to learn)
I don't think she is as low rank as you depict. She has refused a couple times to let the Matriarch (Nora?) take the baby, and usually the Matriarch would not let someone of low rank groom her, or groom someone of low rank herself. Maybe mid rank. And the baby is a boy, I saw a sack and peen when she moved it.

This has been a truly lovely video. Best ever, thank you so much for putting so much of yourself into it. Awesome indeed!!
Azzor, this was taken 4years ago, you skills of capture the beauty is wonderful. I love watching them...so peaceful and quiet 👍💗🐒

Excellent video. Enjoyed the music also. Usually I don't like music in videos like this but this was just enough. Thanks.
I love all your videos on all the mums and babies
What a cute newbie...So nice seeing
your videos....You are very talented!
This is the first time I realised Nora had a troop. How did I miss that. Brilliant footage as usual. ❤️
Very sweet!
Rhesus babies are the cutest. The adults not so much but the babies are so cute! I personally think pigtail adults are the cutest
Thank you Arros your videos are informative learning a lot about the monkey world, and starting getting interested about theirs nature and behavior.
So rite I am sick of watching the other videos wen the mothers r always beating the babies. Ur the best..
i think miss mom would like granny matriarch to get lost and let her figure it out on her own. lol
wonderful , your camerawork is spot on
This video is a little piece of cinematic art :-) I hope she found enough to eat so she can make milk for the baby. They seem to lead life right on the edge of tragedy most of the time.
The baby 's born in the right season there would be plenty for everyone. As long as the baby doesn't succumb to some natural disease I think things would work out nicely as they always do.
Good to know. I now have seeing Stumpy on my bucket list. Thanks for all you do!
Wow look at those long fluffy tails!
the baby is one being blessed or cursed by the life he or she inherits. Woman is giving that life after she materializes the child.
speaking of classy? ... this video! beautiful. thank you. I found myself wishing mama monkey was a bit more willing to let matriarch hold baby, not sure why, silly. I love your videos
She looks like a young aggy!
Wow what a cool video! Seems so different from what we normally see for the females. It was a BIT frightening at first, but your prologue was perfectly in place to explain. Thank you!
That was just so adorable! It's so obvious to me now the more I see how much truth goes into the 93% we share with monkeys.
I think this is the first time we’ve been introduced to Nora - not a new mom that doesn’t know how to reposition her baby. It’s Nora, the baby abuser and Nan trying to help the innocent little baby 😢
I get a little dizzy trying to watch these, but they are interesting thanks
I hope someond feeds them since they have taken over the area they live in.
Taken over the area? They live up in the hills nowhere near people and have been there for forever, before any humans starting going there. So not sure what you’re talking about
can it ya old bitty. il groom ya and keep ya quiet. lol
NaN always seems to be close by to supervise her
It looks a lot like the grandmother wants to take control and the mother says no
The baby said I'm not done eating yet mom!

Whatever's going on there the babies look confused, perhaps it's an invasion, mom doesn't look happy 😳
5:48 Is it just me or does the Lady remind of the baby snatcher? And she kind of reminds me of the one with the dead baby, that it carries around for a week.
This is the matriarch grandma.
16:00 papa dame una tanga😳❕🧔👩🦱; lmao 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️😆😅😂🤣
Is this not Nora? Was she ever low ranking? So interesting.
Where is that? In Asia ? My English is bad, I speak only a little. I can not read as fast! There are interesting films! Thank you!
Hi Gerda, it's Hong Kong, the only place in China where wildlife is still sort of protected a legacy of the Brits.
At around 08:25, was the baby watching the people that were around or was it watching other monkeys?
I love your videos but at least in this one you seemed to have some trouble controlling the camera. Was it windy?
+Haruka Kurono Holding a long lens for long is tiring !
Arroz Marisco Hahaha! I understand now. Thanks for replying.
Has Dopey ever been kidnapped?
Kidnapping is very rare with rhesus. Dopey has been aunted a few times last year.
That is Nora she look so young but even then She’s not good w babies. I just don’t think being a mother is for Nora. It’s okay. We humans have a choice they don’t. Is I. Thire nature. To have babies if that makes any sense.
Why do they depend on humans, why can't they get their own food? They ARE wild, right?

Many of them have been spayed ( about 70 %) by the government so babies are well-loved by many of the spinsters.

Why were there so few babies born?
+Screaming Tima It's not yet the breeding season yet - it usually starts in June.
Seems to me that the matriach is sitting to close. Don't know if I could handle the baby on me 24=7and the other one in my face all the time
Is this… Nora? Or perhaps a sister?
If monkey mom no food she will be no milk give baby monkey ....

Hello Arroz, I do love you videos, but your camera work on this one is not so great. They are usually so clear and still.
It's sad they keep losing their habitat. They shouldn't have to hear bratty kids-vehicles. Nothing natural about their lives.
