19:30 - Mate, Ive recently checked into a golf course hotel over the phone. Check in was from 10am to 6pm daily. I calls up at 3pm with 6 hours of drive left to the hotel. As I was disorganised. I am surprised to hear, NO WORRIES! They left the key in the room and the door unlocked! Just awesome!
William, where in north Cornwall was the hotel? And for those who complain about Jordan not talking into the microphone.. it sounds fine on UA-cam. Maybe worth listening to the show there!
Re being banned I was, many years ago, excluded in no uncertain terms from a gym on the outskirts of Oxford (and threatenened with physical violence!) when I made a point of complaining about the staff having lost my exercise plan. Happily (for me, at least), the enterprise has since gone out of business.
Cruzcampo recently got bought by Heineken I believe, it’s made it’s way over here, found it in a few pubs here and there. My boyfriend is Spanish and grew up near the original factory in Andalucía. Such a good beer ❤
I recently had that nose blowing dilemma on a flight from London to Melbourne. Runny nose from hay fever and you just gotta go for it. Did try my hardest to avoid it during meal time when people aren't listening to the entertainment or sleeping.
there was a podcast with jordan commenting about an oleta adams song (get here) have been trying to find that podcast and now i am giving up and putting my comment here. in the states (u.s. of a.) there was another artist who hit it big with that song. brenda russell. i like both, oleta and brenda but the brenda russell version is really my favourite. incredible bach like strings at the end. repetitive short phrase. just exquisite. many artists have recorded it and most successfully but that has more to do with the fact it is such an incredibly well written and beautiful piece of music.
The mountain range in America that Jordan butchered are the Appalachian. That's pronounced app-uh-latch-in in the southern part and apple-ay-chin in Pennsylvania and north of there.
I’ve literally had people check in for me at properties around the world, and I’ve done so for other people. That hotel is absolutely bonkers. Really wish you named them so I know to never stay there.
Is there an etiquette of how many times you can reuse a tea spoon before you wash it up or put it in the dishwasher? I do it after every use but I have a friend who literally never washes his up.. like wtf and is that a thing? If it is.. why!! He says “it gets sanitised every time you put it in boiling water to stir your cuppa.. I guess I can see his point but NO! I now drink squash or vodka at his which makes it fun at 9am on a Wednesday morning
I really like the podcast but I have to give today's episode a thumbs down. Jordan continues to not speak directly into the microphone and dropping his voice to the point that we cannot hear him.
