Always wash new clothes before I wear them. No idea who’s been touching them whilst they’ve been on the rack

I did not realize there were people who didn't wash new clothes before wearing them....now I'm worried about if people wash their new dishes before using them....

Having worked retail of various sorts for 15+ years, you always wash any kind of fabric you item you buy to that comes in contact with skin or surfaces you eat off of. Rodents run across bolts of fabric before the garments are produced, rodents and mites are in the shipping containers, all of the handling the garments go through from beginning of production to point of purchase. Jordan really does have blinders up.

Loved this episode! I totally agree on William with washing clothes before wear (and tea towels) but never use fabric conditioner with towels as it decreases their absorbity 0:06

The twitter story urked me the wrong way. Personally, I think they had the right reaction. Obviously the guy was affected, comparing it rightfully so to getting an unsolicited dick pick. If it was just a personal account that happened to have nsfw, then it would be a different story. But the account is specifically nsfw, they said so in the story. From the way he talks about the guy, he A, does not know them besides working at the same place, and B, doesn't feel comfortable around them. So I think it would absolutely be appropriate to file a complaint to your company if a coworker follows you with an exclusively NSFW account. I consider that sexual harassment. He unwillingly saw nudes and other sexual photos of them, which could have very well been purposeful since they followed his account. You don't just "accidentally" follow your coworker on your nsfw account. He should not feel guilty.

Jordan: "80% of people, if not more, don't wash their clothes."
Also Jordan: Starts scratching himself as he defends his factoid. 😄

As someone allergic to most laundry soaps, I have to wash my clothes before I can wear them or I'll be miserable for a week.

I’ve read so many horror stories from people who worked in a clothing stores about people trying on clothes, if Jordan read those stories he would definitely wash new clothes before wearing them and things like tea towels which get touched by so many people before someone buys them.

You can iron tea towels and other bedding etc. 21:02 which kills bacteria and wash at lower temperatures

Definitely wash the clothes before wearing. Some green dye came out from the cuffs of a top l received for my birthday (while having lunch at a sit down meal at a pub) and had a green tinge to my palms.
Corduroy segment was fascinating. I remember the Corduroy pants from the 70s, usually brown.

the twitter one, did he personally dm him and send him unsolicited pic? or just posted on his account? if he just posted it in his account and the anonymous reported him then he should be feeling guilty!

Completely agree! The wording really doesn’t make it clear but it almost sounds like he just stumbled across the account. And he only recognised the tattoo, not like full name and place of work was included on the twitter account for confirmation

I don’t like the smell of new clothes - I wash them before I wear them because brand new clothes just smell weird and feel slightly off to me.

wash new fabrics to remove the machine "sizing" a chemical on fabrics that allows it to move through machines easier.

Sterilising everything to within an inch of its life is largely responsible for the total lack of immunity today. I remember as a kid drinking from the garden hose and eating soil. "Farm children suffer less frequently from pollinosis and bronchial asthma, although they are exposed to higher concentrations of airborne allergens. "
