Thanks! I think it's something a lot of people (especially people who are newer to the outdoors) don't really stop to consider when they're feeling scared.
Solo outdoors is a very meditative experience for me, I started out with day hikes and one night camping trips but lately i went hot tenting for 6 days in the Canadian rockies. I thought i was gonna be scared but it was actually so relaxing, the stress of a potentially angry animal attacking me is far less than the overwhelming stress of the city lol
My very second solo trip after camping at a public campground was a backpacking trip four hours from home on a 19 mile loop in the backcountry with absolutely no connection to the outside world. It was exhilarating 😂
Thank you for this great video !You consider so many great points, it could be a tedtalk, really. Like personal circumstances, feelings, safety , enviornemtal protection etc. You are so right, going out alone in nature is like a muscle to be trained, as well! You dont just do it any random day without being alone in the woods or mountains or wherever bevore (and it also is not really advisable, I think).i actually prefere trailrunning by myself, but I would never dare to biwak or just do camping alone (and I dont live in a country with bears, poisiounus snakes or acces to guns ).
UA-cam suggested this video out of the blue for me, and I love it! I'm definitely subscribing. My "AuDHD" makes me love to explore, love to plan a quick outing on a whim, and love to regenerate myself alone in nature. It's hard to reach out and socialize sometimes and nobody I would like to go with isn't really interested in hikes. It's a bummer but it's okay. So this video is actually perfect for piquing my interest of soloing!
Giving yourself permission to turn around is such a valuable tip.

"You have to do something, which makes you a little nervous at first to make yourself grow". Best tip for any life situation!
Thank you!

I'd like to make it out to the Canadian Rockies at some point! And I feel the same, being in nature is so much more relaxing than being in a city.

It sounds it!
Great advice for people new to the great outdoors.alot of people I have met ,don't go out ,because of low confidence.
Thanks! That's what I see as the biggest obstacle as well.

"like a muscle to be trained" is a fantastic way to put it!
