He's always had that. I remember seeing them live in the 90's and his banter in-between songs were still like "wow, that dude's got a really unique cool voice. Every Tool show is basically a Maynard stand up comedy set with lots of music.
like Botrill said: "when the musicians are this good, it makes producing the albums quite easy..." or words to that effect. we're lucky that TOOL are operating during our lifetime.
I'll ignore the fact that your first sentence makes no sense whatsoever. I'm very familiar with Justin's speaking voice, which is considerably different to the voice you're referring to. Just because it's a British accent doesn't mean it's Justin. It's actually the sound guy, who Maynard refers to by name at one point in this video. Nice try though.
The only way a vagina would hike up the plummets of a capsule of unwanted rotten cunt eating demons that purge out pounds of bile into the stomach of a rotting horse that has sat in the sun for days is only if the vagina had a colonic without water. It's rare, but, it happens.
This is 6 years ago and I just recently come across with this looking for tool leaked riffs for an upcoming album after F.I. haha. Are you a roadie of tool?, Secretly trying to record while they are doing some soundcheck? Hahaha
Indeed it is. I was very intrigued by some of the riffs Adam played between songs in the last tour of 22 in which there are some amazing tasty little nuggets that i hope we get to hear one day as full blown songs.
@@ricoelectric I've read things online about how in the year or two before the lockdown he did soundcheck. this article also was the first place i heard about the cd case having a video screen, as danny was openly talking about it in catering at a show. therefore, i think it's legit i also met a guy at work who used to work for live nation (i think they were called something different at the time of the following stories) who said he worked with a perfect circle during the 13th step era, and said maynard wouldn't do soundchecks, he would just roll up being driven in a private car and walk right to the stage at show time. i can't confirm or deny this, and the guy was pretty drunk when he told me this. but he did also say that he worked with korn around that time and fieldy was absolutely impossible to the point of being borderline violent, which fieldy has said about himself in those days before becoming Christian. he said that he also worked with rage against the machine leading right up to their breakup, and rage was the easiest band to work with, were super nice to everyone and each other, never fought. then you get tom morello saying there wasn't a day in that band where they wouldn't fight amongst each other. that band CONVENIENTLY breaking up right after they did the music video where they shut down the stock market was a head scratcher, i think they got threatened into breaking up by the gov or something. a friend of mine said he found a recent (as in last 5 years) tom morello interview where he said zach has been on the run living off the grid for a while now, but i'd like to see it for myself before i plant my feet down in that ground. so who knows if the maynard "straight to the stage" story was true, or if any of them were.
No shit he does sound check. I heard them do Eulogy as a sound check just a little while after chris cornell died. If you dont do levels for vocals then things will sound like shit in your monitors.
For some reason I thought the title said "Vicarious soundcheck" and was confused for like half the video until I realized
Lol yeah, I read that too fast as well, thought the same thing “fuck yeah” hahah
Oh god, I did the same lmao
I didn't realize until I saw your post lmao
O.o same
I did at first until I re-read it. Funny how your mind works.
Even Tool’s soundchecks should win a Grammy!!
Indeed
Not even 5 seconds in and Maynard is already going.
"F--K YEAH!"
"You're fired"
this soundcheck sounds better than most bands entire careers
LOL. Fucking classic comment.
Was about to comment something like this but i knew I could count on my Tool buddies and found your comment.
Absolutely true
tool has debatably the best guitar and bass tone
Oh there’s no debate…no one is debating.
Did you mean undoubtedly?
@@Primusux i stand corrected, my friend!

Maynards voice sounds sweet even when he's barely trying.

vocals from 0:19 to 0:24 is so incredibly hard to master it just shows the vocal gymnastics maynard is capable of while not even trying. amazing.

God that bass sounds amazing

4:41 That sound be the sound effect for every "Florida Man" story ever.
They always do Stinkfist in Soundcheck for some reason
probably cuz its an easy song to play for them and not too taxing on the voice
It’s loud, simple, not a lot of downtime for anyone, has samples, just a good easy baseline song.
@@opiateofthemasses your momma has samples

what do you think of the new album?
Very cool. Thanks for this.
pure love
That low-end on Adam's guitar still needs rolled off a bit since 10,000 days
Sweet!
7:54 do you think that's them all coming in, or a different recording? Cuz if it's them all coming in at once then that sounds badass
👌🏼 Good catch. Sounded like fire.

5:39 that fuzz on bass! Tone bender I think.
From which show was the last 5 minutes???
I’m still finding new material.. wth
I don't think I've ever heard Justin talk this much at once
Justin never spoke in this...
You've obviously have never Justin speak. He talks a lot in this. Especially when they are rehearsing Jambi at the beginning.

7:10 sounds like beginning of pnuema
Nope, it’s part of the song Intension. Very much different from Pneuma.

2007

I wouldn't doubt it
uhhh yes. to not do so would be very unprofessional.
