My first digital camera was HP Photosmart 720 (3.3 MP) and i got it in 2002 I believe (my mom bought it for me). Still have (almost) all the photos I took with it.
Interessting tiny camera :-). I like old digicams too and have a tiny collection. My favorite is the Panasonic Lumix LS3 with 5MP. The video quality is not good. Only 320x240 and no audio, but the picture quality is very better. With some tricks you can get good results. With greetings from lower Bavaria.
Now they are older, there is something fun about using these digicams. One of my favorites is my Sony Mavica FD83, sadly not working at the moment, but definitely interesting! You have some nice shots in your videos too!
@@freeshrimp Hey, thank you for watching my videos. I didn't knew what you were watching. I have a playlist of sample videos with the Lumix LS3 and my two latest videos are samlple slidshows made with the Lumix LS1. Have a nice time :-).
You can't use flash while using High ISO mode, but you can use the Program Auto mode with cloudy white balance and flash turned on then manually adjust ISO to higher values such as 1600 or 3200 in the menus. Hope this helps!
@@matthewpuckett5550 if you're looking for the low quality look I'm sure it'd be great for that. It should record about 25 mins of video per clip before stopping for file size limits.
I recently got the same camera but I don't know how to turn off the date and time stamp. I checked the settings and it's not giving me option. Would you happen to know how? huhu
Sorry I don't, I just went through mine too but there doesn't seem to be an option in camera at all (mine's already off). I did find something about Sony's PlayMemories Home app having the option for timestamps if you use that for your photos, but that's all I can find for this model camera.
The W55 is a few years older, with less resolution. Other than that, both are nice cameras! I like the design of the W55. I found both at a thrift store and chose the w310, should have bought both haha
@@freeshrimp thanks for replying! also, canon PowerShot A2500, Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W530, sony cybershot dscw310, sony cybershot dscw55 which one is better?
I'd say w530 > w310 and is basically a newer upgraded model, probably the best choice. Neither are limited by the Sony memory stick either. Now if I had to personally pick one for just casual shooting for fun, I'd probably choose the w55 just for it's older style and little viewfinder. I'm also a bit biased towards Sony over Canon.
It's a good that someone review old devices
Thank you! It's just fun too!

What a trip through time that must be looking back at them!
@@freeshrimp That it is. Used to be in a touring band back then so lots of good memories in form of photos :)

Is it possible to turn on cloudy mode, home and iso setting and flash at the same time?

I love the pic quality hehe nowadays people kinda used that kind of filter but using this u don't need one, it's giving aesthetic vibe :)
Agreed! Along with the small size, thats the reason why this camera still lives in my daily carry bag!
2:08 A press is a press you cant say its only a half.
Not true. Most digital still cameras have the half press function to lock the focus. Try it, u should be surprised.
How do u upload the pictures to your laptop/phone??
I just use the SD card and a card reader in my laptop. Hope this helps!
do you recommend this camera for a vintage / bad quality effect?
I was going to use this camera for that, however a lot of the photos came out better than I expected tbh
@@freeshrimp would you say this camera could be used to take longer videos? Kinda like vlogs obviously low quality lol

@@freeshrimp so basically dont get this if i want that vintage/bad quality effect xD

do u think i better get this one or dsc wx1? which one is better...
I don't have experience with it but the wx1 looks like a more premium camera. I like my w310 but I'd probably choose the wx1 personally.
hey! should I get this or Sony Cybershot DSCW55? which one is better?

hello! how long does it take for the battery to charge?
Not sure exactly, maybe 2-3 hours from 0-100 for mine.
Can you add a timestamp to the photos/videos?
Honestly not sure why I didn't think of that from the start, all videos should be timestamped in the comments now!
Hi, sir Can I use w310 as car dash cam in 2022?
Hi, I'm not sure honestly and it could be possible, but I would say probably not. The video on this cam is quite limited.
How do you transfer the pictures and videos on a mac?
Sorry, I can't help with Mac. An SD card reader should work though.
