I performed on the swinging swings back in the 50’s. I was very good…did things like …birds nest, dislocate. And of course flip to let go.

Women don't do still rings, but they do flying rings. Sadly flying rings is not a part of modern competitive gymnastics.

Switzerland has a second type of gymnastics slightely different than artistic gymnastics, less "elite". It's much fun indeed !
Women (4 events) : swinging rings, floor, vault, "hard" bar (not uneven bar)
Men (5 events) : 4 the same as women + parallel bars.
