I ran mine straight pipe for like a week sounds bad ass, then put the flow pro twister on there because the drone in the cab when your towing is crazy,,still sounds great but no drone
So, I want to get the muffler and slap in on when we tow our fifth wheel to reduce drone, then throw the straight on when I'm daily driving the truck at home. Does the muffler cut all the drone out?
So actually the drone isn’t really that bad without the muffler. At around 50-58mph while under load there is a noticeable drone but it’s not obnoxiously loud. The muffler does help quiet it down a little but with or without you can definitely hear it
What muffler did you have on there? And was there drone? Trying to find a muffler for mine. Not sure about the resonator or the mbrp quiet tone. Nice truck and videos they have been very helpful.
Thanks for watching! The muffler is the flo pro muffler that came with the ss680 exhaust. The drone is there without it but it’s not bad. When towing it’s definitely louder at certain rpm’s but manageable by all means

So this is a stock L5P with a 5" straight pipe? Any check engine codes or lights?
The engine is stock aside from some bolt on upgrades and a mild tune.

But has all the original emissions like off the lot new
So I assume I can’t get the same sound results from my stock l5p
