Boots are now selling my hubby's favourite aftershave a heck of a lot cheaper than anywhere else. £15 cheaper in fact. Trouble for them is I would, and am, going to go elsewhere and pay the extra for it. After employing that woman to promote their Christmas campaign they won't see my custom again.
I was using Boots everyday. Today I went elsewhere. It's nothing to do with someone portrayed as a black Mrs Claus but everything to do with who is portraying this character and the message that Boots seem to be sending to me "You're not welcome if you're white". Fair enough I will go where I feel welcomed. Am I alone in my thinking Boots? I don't think so - that's why you should be worried that your share price has collapsed.
This woman looks the most unfriendly and probably scary to children when you think of the cuddly depiction of Mrs Clause years ago who waited home for Santa after his rounds! Positively chilling. They spoil the image of Father Christmas for children too because she makes out he's lazy and she and the elves have done everything while he's always asleep! Disappointing Boots. Maybe not too late but not the right angle. What a mess, hope the staff don't lose their jobs because of this ridiculousness!
Booted Boots off my places to go, they supplied my Specs, now possibly going to specsavers, that just happen to be a few shops over, so not so far for my Boots to go walking, some very lovely pictures you choose.
The irony is that real Christians won't lose their belief because of a racist advert, to the contrary it helps because others are waking up to the truth.
If it wasn't so frustrating (the constant beating of the woke drum) this whole campaign would be hilarious. Who in the world would think it a good idea to piss off the majority of your customer base during the height of the buying season, by putting out an extremely expensive and offensive ad, and then battle the pushback with even more money and discounts???!!!! What rocket scientist came up with that one????
They messed with our Christmas and now they pay the price. No sympathy at all except for the shop floor workers that would probably have advised against it in the first place. RIP Boots
Forgetting the furore over the comments this woman made about the Royal family, I'm staggered Boots chose someone who looks as hard as nails on screen, and who emanates zero warmth or charm. Very unchristmassy.
Bankruptcy is a way out , CEOs won't care about staff , the little people , not only is that actress isn't only an irresponsible race baiter but responsible for the down fall of boots and employees what a legacy she'll leave behind. Absolutely astonishing.
The good thing about Boots was their loyalty program. I’ll cash in my points and buy the rest of the Xmas gifts in our lovely department store. End of my loyalty, bye bye Boots
As far back as I can remember and believe that is far back. Mrs. Santa Claus has ALWAYS been depicted as a sweet, little old Grandmother. Just as Santa is always depicted as a jolly old elf. Now if that company had gone with a grandmother type black actress. There probably would not have been any problems. But using that actress who offended so many people AROUND THE WORLD with her comment about the Royal Family on the balcony after the Coronation. That was a slap in the face to the people of the UK. Just like Khan not allowing any signs saying "Merry Christmas". Insulting, and truly rude.

Have I got that correct? Who is their economic advisor? Rachel Reeves?
👍Someone with leathery, old looking skin, and a scowl on their face, with a better-than-you look straight into the camera is not going to sell very much in a store that sells beauty products anyway. There's no beauty there to inspire the customer. It reminds me of when I was the counter manager for Christian Dior cosmetics; on the other side of the counter was Clarins and for some reason they had a 90 year old woman working for them. 🙄 Anything in the beauty business has to show what people 'want to look like' not what they actually look like to sell a product. Not trying to be mean, it is reality. Even if they didn't have all the other stuff going on, that was a bad choice of person. If they really wanted to do something 'Bridgerton' like, they should have done something similar to the time period the show is set in. Not giving unpaid marketing advice.🙂 Not an expert, but, I have been a consumer for quite some time. I could think of several simple ways to remind people to shop at a store like that, as I'm sure others could too. 👋

That was the story with Bud Lite (she has now been fired but the damage has been done).
I will never shop Boots again
I was using Boots everyday. Today I went elsewhere. It's nothing to do with someone portrayed as a black Mrs Claus but everything to do with who is portraying this character and the message that Boots seem to be sending to me "You're not welcome if you're white". Fair enough I will go where I feel welcomed. Am I alone in my thinking Boots? I don't think so - that's why you should be worried that your share price has collapsed.
Boots will mark the prices up,then discount the items.
They can do what they like, I will never shop in Boots again.
I won't know or care because I will not enter any of their stores.
In town yesterday Superdrug was doing great business compared to boots.
Good to hear
This woman looks the most unfriendly and probably scary to children when you think of the cuddly depiction of Mrs Clause years ago who waited home for Santa after his rounds! Positively chilling. They spoil the image of Father Christmas for children too because she makes out he's lazy and she and the elves have done everything while he's always asleep! Disappointing Boots. Maybe not too late but not the right angle. What a mess, hope the staff don't lose their jobs because of this ridiculousness!
She looks arrogant.
They must think we all have goldfish memories, damage already done.
Booted Boots off my places to go, they supplied my Specs, now possibly going to specsavers, that just happen to be a few shops over, so not so far for my Boots to go walking, some very lovely pictures you choose.
Specsavers are great ! Give Boots the boot
Yes..I go to specsavers ..give them a try 👍 Kath....Yorkshire England
I got my best specs this year from Specsavers, lovely service 😊🏴
Specsavers are great and have some good deals on their glasses!
When the ad comes on there is just time to make a coffee!
Told my wife and family not to shop at Boots until this ad is off tv. I’d rather spend our money elsewhere....🤬
Make them pay - don’t go back ever. Other companies need to be sent a message
It’s beginning to look a lot like a woke Christmas, everywhere we go!
🌲
Jack black is playing Satan instead of Santa in the latest Christmas movie and time for the rock to retire from acting and go back to fake wrestling .
@@centrevezgaming4862The endgame is to try and completely erase Christmas
The irony is that real Christians won't lose their belief because of a racist advert, to the contrary it helps because others are waking up to the truth.
Sometimes you can't repair a mistake. Meegan and Hasben proves that, no way back
You mean Me-gain
@@mameschwarzfischer2806 Spot On.
So their plan is to spend good money after bad. Try dumping the ad, its cheaper.
RIP Boots
I’ve given Boots the Boot nd I’m not going back ! They’re not buying me!😅 Go woke, go broke! Bye Boots
No problem boycotting Boots especially as it is no longer a British owned company.
My Boots are made for walking, AWAY !!!!
❤🎉😂
Forgetting the furore over the comments this woman made about the Royal family, I'm staggered Boots chose someone who looks as hard as nails on screen, and who emanates zero warmth or charm. Very unchristmassy.
I agree. She’s charmless, as is the advert.
That sound isn't boots, it's the sound of the white pound leaving the store.
I shall go in boots this week and spend my loyalty card points and that will be it, no more spent in boots.
Khan cannot stop people putting Merry Christmas signs etc in their windows. CHRISTmas.
Huh? No one has banned anything about Christmas 😂😂😂😂😂 still rolls around every year!
@@Dee-JayW When kids in schools are told they can't have Nativity plays, when people are told not to use the word Christmas in case it offends someone there's a problem. The UK is British and Christian. Christmas is about Christ. We'll not be told how to go about it by immigrants and non indigenous people.
I went to my local shopping center Saturday afternoon, i walked past the large boots and it was empty of customers.😂😂😂
Wolverhampton Boots the same
The Boots executives think the shopping public are too stupid to have their own opinions, that we’re so pathetic & greedy that all will be forgiven for a discount, everything online or in the shops could be on sale for a penny & I still wouldn’t buy the rubbish.
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones Boots used to show.
👍😀🎁
I’m dreaming of a “terribly “white Christmas.
100% It’s the woman they chose.
And the trans women, almost no white people and the fact that they didn’t display a single product. The advert was all about her.
@@TinaHemphilland it was dissing men by showing Santa as lazy
Some folks are tire of this kind of stuff and will not support the company or person what they are selling and how little it cost.😊
When a company employs someone who apparently despises British culture coupled with a message that actively alienates the vast majority of its customers … what did they expect
Having been in the advertising business, I can assure you that the creative side of the advertising business, never consider how many people that the might alienate as a result of their advertising.
Then they are clearly incompetent and not fit for purpose.
It should be the first thing the creative side of the advertising business considered. The whole idea of advertising is to get people to buy the product being advertised, not to alienate the prospective customer.
Where have all business personnel gone....no one has a business brain today.
Well personally I am absolutely fed up with this whole DEI crap. I will never give Boots my custom ever again. To pick someone to do their Christmas advert who has made a point of being blatantly anti white is a total insult to many, many people. 🤔🥺🇬🇧
Everyone I know is boycotting Boots .. if they can’t represent us why should they get our money! I’m using Superdrug always in future .. too little too late from Boots im afraid!
Superdrug is always a helpful alternative, and is uncontroversial!!
Let em go, let em go, let em go ..... Broke!!!!!😂😂😂
Get woke, go broke.
Simples.
My local town switched the Christmas lights on yesterday. The town was heaving. I walked past Boots, didn’t go in, and it looked very quiet.
Go woke, go broke. #BoycottBoots
I will boycott Boot's this Christmas.
Even if I got the things free, I still wouldn't shop here
They should check M&S advert. Funny with a beautiful actress. It makes you feel warm and christmassy
They’ve made an almighty mess of things! They are appalling people who think they’re so big and clever when the reality is that they’re know-nothings. No business is there for the customers, they’re all about the money. Boots are going to find there’s not much coming in. Serves them right.
And as the saying goes.
The Customer is ALWAYS RIGHT
We've been proved that massively!!!!
A warning to Advertisers do not go woke, or you will go broke!!! Boots are taking a backlash now because of that stupid unreal advert. And I’m glad 🏴
Boots was always my go to store for gifts. Not any more. Royal bashing had to stop. People have had enough. Nothing less than a public apology will get me back into that store
Nah not even an apology will get majority of people back in. Damage is done.
There is royal bashing all over the internet now and it is getting tiresome most of it is downright lies.
@@Silverfern2424 not even an apology will get me back in boots
This is about racial divisions,Now Boots will feel finacial division.
Just won't spend our hard earned money in boots ,who obviously don't care about the controversial person they have used to plug their Christmas add, they didn't take into account our patriotic love we have for our royal family. Wrong move boots advertising executives, Superdrug and any other independent shops here we come .
Dear Boots: Get Woke, Go Broke.....take it to the bank!
Best Wishes from Your American Cousins. ❤ 🇺🇸
So, as I understand this, Boots are paying more out in glossy newspaper adverts, and offering discounts on items, in an attempt to bring back into their stores people who wouldn't have boycotted them in the first place if they hadn't been offended by the central figure in the Ad. Have I got that correct?
Who is their economic advisor? Rachel Reeves?
😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
Now that woman knows how the British people think of her and Boot's for dissing there Royal family
Happy Monday Neil ! Have a great day and stay warm Chum ! Sincerely
I think this once great country has become a shadow of what it was once .
We have Walgreens instead of Boots. Will shop elsewhere.
Adjoa was making an OBSERVATION- that's all.
@@fionalawrence1611 WELL. THE IGNORANT RACIST WOMAN, SHOULDN'T HAVE, SHOULD SHE. SHE'S FINISHED NOW FOR GOOD.
@@fionalawrence1611 👍 A racist OBSERVATION.
I see Boots going into administration next year onwards.
Purchase tonight from superdrug, BOOTS missed £110 of my cash.
And just like buud lite they double down, so just like bud lite we need to ensure they never get their standing back. (Deliberate spelling).
Remember - A boycott is not just for Christmas!.
Oh, I get it!! Boots is using the same business model that Disney is using with the disastrous remake of "Snow White" Throwing good money after bad never works!
You mean that Off white and the seven pronouns movie. Disney has gone terribly woke and I've boycotted them.
I told my friend to Boycott Boots and why, she had not seen the Christmas vid. she totally agreed.
Just like Labour..spend your way out of troubles.
Boot`s will care if the sound of kerching kerching kerching falls silent. If, they can live without us we can live without them and by the way Sean, you can buy the same products in other high street shops cheaper.
Too late, far far too late. Damage done irretrievably.
Hi ho, hi ho it's out of Boot's we go.
Lal that was a good one🤣🤣🤣
After that insult I am staying out of Boots. A sincere apology would help.
