It's truly amazing to see a two-door car the size of that 1978 Eldorado. Cadillac was always proud of its matching interior trim with available firemist metallic paints like Ruidoso Saddle Metallic and Western Saddle Firemist. For contrast there was always white leather interiors for that ultimate 70's look. The 1978 Eldorado Biarritz brings back great memories, Thank You!
Great Eldorado. My uncle had one of these back in the day. I remember detailing it for him when I was in my teens and I got to drive it up & down our dead end street before I was legal. I could barely see over the hood and the door weighed about 400 lbs! 😅 Nothing like these land yachts. Love that the hood branding says Eldorado and not Cadillac, sorta represents it's own niche in the Caddy lineup. Thanks for another stroll down Memory Lane and an honest appraisal. 👍🚘
Hi Chris, that's an absolutely beautiful Caddy. I enjoy your channel and I have to say that I, and I'm sure others, really appreciate your integrity and honest efforts to really present the car with the good points as well as with any flaws. It's such a shame when you have a sketchy dealer or seller and it just puts all dealers in such a bad light. I once bought, what I thought was a low mileage and beautiful '97 Lincoln Town Car Cartier Edition from a dealer in Florida through Ebay. Well, it eventually came to light that the car had been in a rather significant accident. It somehow managed to escape car fax and other inspections. Turned into quite a fiasco and that dealer eventually went out of business. Really put a bad taste in my mouth and since then, I won't buy a car over the internet and will fly out to inspect it myself but if more dealers were like you, I think it would put people at ease. Good job and please keep it up!
My dad had a 3 black god i love how that car drove thats a nice one i new a guy that had a frame off restro convertable like the one your driving the thing u can do is take the 8 track out and put a 84 casstett deck from a 80 to 85 tape deck in look like it just a og radio in it
@@MT-ey7sm Hmm..Well I bought mine in 79 maybe it wasn't treated right before I got it..I had a 68 coup...with the 472...now THAT thing really wound up!
@@christianbugatticg My favorite is Cotillion White with the white and red interior (an obvious rip-off the 1975 Mark IV Lipstick and white luxury group.) Browns and Coppers were huge in the 70's for everything.
Love the style of Cadillac from back then. And the fact that they made a car that big sporty yet luxurious.
Thanks!

My father had one of these. He would not allow anything on the radio except his Sinatra 8-track.

I could easily drive something like this cross country. I don’t care how much it costs me to fuel it.
What a memory that would make!
The tape is probably thirty years old and that’s in a dog’s years.

Not a fan of this color.
That was a popular color back in the 70's. I really like it in that pale yellow
