Joe Cocker does an amazing rendition of this masterpiece of a song. But the band excellent and is spot on with so much nuance and feeling. Shows you don't have to shred the guitar or smash the drum kit to make wonderful music. Loved this version.

Honestly I like Joe Cockers version better than Van the man, who wrote it. Don't get me wrong, cause Van Morrisons song Brown eyed girl is still my all time favorite song!!! Joe's complete soul and emotion is into singing this song, I had to listen to it several times until I come to the conclusion that it is better than the original because It gets you emotionally involved much deeper than Van does.
