Thanks for a great and easy tutorial, when the cue is on for the new track coming in and you have matched the beat and upped the volume, shouldn’t the song only still be playing in your headphones if the cue light is still on ?
Not necessarily- on most pioneer equipment there is a dial to select it to cue, master or somewhere in between to your desired setting. But yes for the most part it is the track that you have pressed cue for which should play out of your headphones.
You can leave a bit in if you like. The beauty of djing is there is no right or wrong way to do it…this is just the way I do it. Have a play around with it, see what it sounds like and go from there. If it sounds too muddy or not quite right then you know to take out a bit more of the bottom end.
Always one of the most helpful djs on UA-cam
Thank you for watching
I'll likely never need this for myself but I wanted to understand better what a dj might be doing up there. Thanks!
This is one of the more basic things we do haha. Thank you for watching!

@@djkarlthomas oh thanks I did not know this as a complete beginner
No worries! That’s what this channel is here for!
Do you take 100% of the bass away from the incoming tune or can you leave a little bottom-end?
