I've been a Hofner fan for about 35 years having owned a 1950s senator when I was a gigging musician in the UK. I swapped it for a New President about 20 years ago. Totally UNDERRATED (By most guitar buying public) Instruments. I've never seen the first guitar but it's freaking awesome.
HÖFNER hat schon immer sehr geile Gitarren und Bässe gebaut. In den 60/70er Jahren war das Design oft skurril, die Bedienung/Spielbarkeit wegen den vielen Schaltern etwas schwieriger als amerikanische Produkte. Aber es waren unverkennbar tolle, gut klingende Höfner Instrumente.
Hello i have a friend with a guitar which i have fallen in love with ! I have some questions....hope you can help me ? This guitar is a 1969 449 model .....it has these two pick ups named " Ideal " ?? Im finding nothing anywhere on the internet !! Can you tell me more on them please ?? They look very nice was wondering ?? But what do they sound like please ??Are they single coils ??
