Thanks! A little something for the Kitty Fund! Thanks for all you do to keep belly’s full 💖.
Susan
Thank you again for your support :)
I was fully mesmerized by the gentleman working his Kubota to install the beam and remove the plaster from the stone walls. He’s truly amazing! Can’t wait to see how the fireplaces and chimneys turn out. I think that the cottage will be spectacular!
Your videos have such a great mix of things... a little bit of talk, some great music, beautiful scenery, and always a touch of unexpected humor.
Lincoln on the Birdfy was HILARIOUS 😅 [your sponsors gotta LUV you!] The donkeys on time lapse cracked me up, too. TY.
The art of the beam installation is nothing short of mastery.
Hats off to your builder, was amazing to watch his strategy. Clearly has done this before! Will enjoy watching the cottage come to life.
I've never seen anyone remove plaster that way. That guy is a *Maestro!*
We were driving back from town and had picked up some sparrow traps to protect our martin eggs. Eleven yr. old son: Dad, if you use sparrow traps to trap sparrows, wht kind of trap do you need to catch tits ? Father: I don't know .Son: : A booby trap ! 😊
😂
Cute!!😂😂
😂😂😂 A Dad joke at Eleven years old. 😅
Lovely to see Shadow doing well and enjoying life, all thanks to you guys!
That Kubota is like a transformer😂!
Another beautiful video. If Dan Preston’s word is endurance, then yours is undaunted. You face challenge after challenge, you make a plan and you keep going.
I bet Lincoln would like a Kubota of his own. It was invaluable for this project. I am excited to see what the cottage will look like when you are finished.
It's on our (very long) list!
I've never seen anyone using a digger to remove plaster from stone walls before, but it sure was effective.
You have the loveliest chateau, the grounds are so beautiful. The drone shots at the beginning of the trees, oh my gosh. To a tree hugger it simply makes your heart pound! I love them. And the cottage, WOW, it will be like new when you’re done. I have seen so many cottages online that are spectacular when finished. So excited to you!!! 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊
Bless you for tending to Shadow and nipping him in the buds❤. Great video this week , so creative!
What a cool machine..watching him make it smaller was so amazing..If Tonka had ever made these, my sons would have owned a fleet of them..Have watched him do amazing things working on the cottage with it..glad you and Lincoln have him there for a huge job ..I cannot wait to see this cottage completed ..just love everything about it! The exposed stone is beautiful! This is your forever life and you are doing it right!
❤Your drone scenes of your forest was like a Crayola box of all shades of green!!!❤
Your contractors are absolutely AMAZING! I want a Kubota toy like that. It's like a mini transformer 😅! The dexterity of the user was like watching surgery!
😊Thanks for sharing your life with us!😊
I LOVE that you are restoring and and NOT renovating, there is a difference . You are the best!
I second that!!!
Sure Shadow will stay with you. He has his freedom, a place to shelter, food and is pain free all thanks to you. ❤
0:22 I may never recover from this editing transition.... I want that birdfeeder! Birdfy thought of everything!
Your builder is amazing!
Don’t toss the old plaster. I’ve seen other chateau owners use it as foundation for a road and parking lot.
Maybe your builder can use it to strengthen your road so your car won’t get stuck in the mud.
Have a great visit to the U.S. with your daughters. Hope everyone is feeling better now.
Thank you :)
Oh my just loved that machine shrinking to go through the door……want one of my own!!
The guy helping you is amazing!!!! What skill to do what he's doing with those machines.
Amazing that you’re able to keep your sense of humor through your cottage re-build! So glad that there is reliable help in it with you and Lincoln. Have a great vacation! 😎
Amanda and Lincoln, you are comedy gold! I have never watched a sponsorship piece three times but this made me laugh so much! Amazing work on the cottage.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That was funny at the beginning with the birds and Lincoln. Glad to see that Shadow is doing well and still with you. The cottage is coming along. There's a lot to do, so it may seem to be going so slow. I hope you had a good trip here and Lincoln was probably glad to see you. Lynn from AZ
Love your channel guys, look forward to the videos every week. Love your cats, would love to see more of them. You are doing a great job with all your animals. ❤
Glad to see Shadow is still around. And have fun in the US!!
was I the only one nervous when Lincoln was taking the fireplace bricks down ?!
First time i did see a digger scrape the walls ingenious 😊😊😊❤
Wow. There's nothing left in the cottage. Skies the limit.
That guy is amazing with that machine… and Lincoln is pretty amazing too. And your interviewing, directing and editing skills are amazing also and add cute animals and you have the perfect Chanel 😁👍🏻😜
You both are so clever and funny, thanks for the wit!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That is not a five minute job 😂 It is stunning how precise the little excavator works 🤩Greetings from Austria
😂It was not a bird, but Lincoln trying to fly. Awesome gadget 🐦🐦⬛
Oh my goodness a cliffhanger ending 😂 can’t believe you will make us wait… 😂 Lovely to see Shadow happy playing in the fields… such a successful story. Can’t believe he will ever leave your territory. It is already his territory… btw, what a difference a machine make. Lincoln deserves that help.
The cottage is going to be beautiful when you’re finished. I simply love the style and colours you selected in the rooms in the chateau, can’t wait to see the finished result. Love birdfy, nature is mesmerising.
The machinery operator is clever. First time I have seen automated (for want of a better word), removal of old plaster. Great stuff. As there is still plenty of work in the cleaning up, it is great to have something done a bit easier. Best wishes.
It may not seem like it to you but you two have accomplished so much in such a short amount of time! Everything you do looks so beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
😊
Another great visit to your chateau. You take some really great shots around your home. Love the kitty snuggles and always love close ups of your donkeys.
Shadow is living his best life😻
Shadow is now having his Best life thanks to you. That machine is amazing in the things you’ve used it for. Who knew it could remove plaster! I’m happy to see you look well again Amanda, and that luckily Lincoln didn’t get it too. Love seeing the donkeys and I am showing that bird feeder to my husband for my Christmas present! ❤❤❤❤❤
That is the most relaxing end to a video ever 😊 So peaceful, thank you.
Great progress on the cottage and very interesting with the fireplace situation. Could you possibly show the fireplace in the other cottage in your next video? It would be very interesting to compare.
What a beautiful place you have. I love it. Your drone footage is perfection. Love all the animals lounging around.
The cottage is going to be beautiful. You two do everything so well. I’m excited about it.
Words fail to describe how much I love your videos, thank you so very much for taking the time to make them. ❤
The Birdfy is a nice product, but has Waffle given her thumbs up? Pickle might prefer to control the app and give her thumbs up to the bird ballet. Welcome Back! We're even more crazy as a country than when you left us for France. A votre sante!
Excellent video as per usual !
I hope you're feeling tip-top and well after covid. Thank you. ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉😊
Dear Amanda and Lincoln, take a look at the UA-cam channel, Sean’s World. He’s renovating a stone cottage on his property (not a chateau channel). But he has a fireplace that might give you an idea of what yours once was. He’s doing the whole renovation himself and on a shoestring but he knows building so it’s very interesting. I love your beautiful videos. Can’t wait for the next one. ❤
Yes, now you can put the original monumental fireplace back in! You can still find them at architectural salvage yards there. Not sure about brocantes.
Lincoln has done an amazing job. Give him a pat on the back😊
Wow, when you said remove all that plaster, I was thinking days, but that machine took it down so quickly! It’s a very exciting project and I can’t wait to see what you do with it! Nice to see an update on Shadow!😻 And glad you are feeling better!😊🌸🌺
Wow, that gentleman really is brilliantly proficient with that machine!
Bonjour Amanda and Lincoln, I can't wait to you expose the entire fireplace, to see what it actually looked like. I love seeing the donkeys. If the airplane is, you Amanda arriving in the US welcome back. Looking forward to next week. Love from N.Y.
The beams look great! Very interesting fireplace mystery. The birdhouse is so cool and a security system as well.
wow your builder a jack all trades amazing job also little shadow
I always enjoy the updates on your blog. The animals have such a wonderful life with you guys. Deborah. North Carolina 😊😊❤
Keeping and posing the stonewall would give lots of lovely character
yikes! that looked like a pretty bumpy landing! (I am always uncomfortable in those last few minutes). I'm so happy you were able to treat the feral. Great vlog, as always.
Gosh that beam mount was quite an operation... fascinating!
Hats off to your Master Craftsman beam installer digger driver. He is a magician with those machines. Then taking the plaster off ..awesome. Lincoln of course you were fantastic putting the woodworm treatment on the beam ends. Glad to see the feline supervisors having some rest. Shadow looked very content. Filming brilliant and relaxing to watch as usual ,thank you Andrea❤👏👌🥂
Held my breath thought you might have fallen in the mud for minute. The scenery is spectacular.
Nice surprise!
Opening up the fireplace in the cottage would be cool 😎 love watching the progress ❤
As always, superb cinematography! I’m happy you’re recovered, enjoy your US visit!
Great video updating us on your property & your furbabies. Your hedge wall is nicely manicured. You’re doing a great job! Take care & be safe. Your property is my favorite of all the chateaus on UA-cam!! You’re real-rational, practical & unpretentious. You also have good taste in decorating. Keep up the good work!!
...I liked the beautiful view of the trees and chateau and the peaceful music .....and then the chainsaw...🤣🤣🤣👍
I hope you have some of the room with the stone walls. It’s beautiful already.
Just when I was beginning to worry about a COVID relapse a new video drops! Happy to be wrong.
You're helper friend is very clever! Brilliant use of equipment to install the beams. The beams look great in their new home.
Bird feeding and a donkey sighting! Though for a second it sounded like content for Wafflers' Only Fans site ;-)
Shadow!
Everything is so lush and green. It looks great. Intriguing footage at the end. A cliff hanger! Nice.
Lincoln Clooney at it again 🤣
I know it probably doesn't feel like it to you, but the cottage is coming along nicely. You all are doing it right and that's what counts. You are conscientious stewards of this historic property and that is amazing. nice to see shadow bouncing around outside. wish he would join your herd inside but realize sometimes it's just not what the kitty wants. viewership is rising !! :)
Genius use of the equipment you have. Very interesting & a bit scary to watch him work.
That is the first time I've seen a digger used to remove the plaster off a wall. Creative thinking there!
If anybody DESERVED to have treasure buried in a wall, it's YOU TWO!! I envy you; even though you've got a boatload of projects going, you don't have to live in the US and listen to all this political nonsense going on. Sure, there's some in France, but you can tune it out and just sit in your lovely fields with the donkeys and sweet Shadow.
Your commercials are worth watching. Will be interesting to see how you reconfigure the fireplace. Very strange.
Ho boy, and then there's the hedge!
Amanda welcome to America! Hope everyone is feeling better ❤❤❤❤ love your videos. I really dont know why you dont have more subs. Your videos are realllyyyyyy good!
Hi Amanda and Lincoln! I can see why you purchased your property; it is absolutely lovely. The first floor fireplace in the cottage reminded me of the Rumford fireplace designed by Count Rumford. He was British and lived in the 1700s and came up with an exact formula in dimensions to produce a much more efficient heat source. Wondering if 75 to 100 years ago, whoever owned the property at that time decided to close up the very large heat wasting original fireplace and implement a more efficient design( regardless, your renovations will last for the next, probably 200 years so hats off to you for a conscientious renovation!
Some really beautiful footage. Love watching the progress on the cottage. 😊
Somehow I missed Seeing Shadow. Bad eyes here! Your property is so beautiful and I love your donkeys -cats too! 🐈 🐈⬛ 🐱
He was small little grey blip in the field. It was hard to see...
That little digger is so versatile and handy!
😊 I always look forward to these videos. Love how your place looks. The drone shots over the trees look like beautiful green quilts!
Can't wait to see the rest of the fireplace. ❤️
Great work you guys! The cottage is going to be gorgeous! So happy for you.
BEST WISHES TO YOU
Incredible all the different chateaux use different methods and use of machinery for renovating, that’s what makes it fun to watch. Take care 🥰🥰🥰
Great video, I always enjoy watching them 😊
Such a great job you guys do! 🖤I'm married to a "Lincoln" - precise in everything, but particularly during renovating. Over 35 years, it's driven me a little nuts at times, but his finicky ways are so worth it!
Perhaps the BIG fireplace was one used for cooking? I guess it would depend on the age of the cottage.
You’re vegetable garden is absolutely beautiful! I would love to see you make meals sometime with the food from your garden! Love all the work you’ve done so far in and around the chateau. You’re a saint for the work you’ve done for all the cat rescue and spay and neutering as well. I look forward to seeing your progress weekly. Keep up the great work.😊
What a find re the historical fire place. The previous alteration certainly wasn't up to today's building code. Hopefully u can get the cottage restored in your pricise manner with your constant hard efforts. Can't wait to see the finished project... Good luck. Cheers Deb'S nz
You need to wear a hard hat ... If that beam fell on you ... Take care, you are lovely people. ❤
Shadow is a lucky cat being on your property - people who care!
Every time I click on your videos, there is a great story to be heard! I would never minimize the project you have before you but wow, what an awesome opportunity with the cottage and the chimneys! I love this building and of course the whole property! Just Beautiful!!!
Love your roses and the swings. Lincoln is so fortunate to have a man who is such a hard worker that will work along with him.
It was amazing …having the right equipment could get all the debris off the walls so much faster than doing it by hand..!
The cottage is looking better every time I watch. The stone is beautiful.
Keep up the good work …. There is light at the end of the tunnel.❤
So good to see Shadow playing in the field ❤
Me too :)
My neighbor had a similiar bird feeder.. the rats from the river came and destroyed it.. the squirrels took out my normal bird feeder so our birds just get water from bird baths😂
Sure they were Rats?
@@dianegriffith3006 yep.. big nasty ones! We are in Savannah.. we grow them big on the marsh🤢
Love seeing your progress. Things are getting really crazy stateside.
Just rewatching this now as we are dealing with a fireplace in much the same way! The mysteries we find! Part of the adventure!
The amount of sweat equity that I have observed on UA-cam in the content from people who are restoring château is immense. One of the shows escaped to rural France is about a restoration of a burned out hulk. The amount of knowledge and effort in the work is immense. It is definitely not for the faint of heart. I hope you can keep your motivation and your economics working as you go through executing your plans. I imagine the cottage restoration is something you may use to generate income. Good luck.
Does the Kubota cook breakfast and fold laundry as well?
