Ahah! I knew as soon as I saw the rear breach block getting hammered in that it was a mug gun. NICE!

They did cast in bronze also - the Loshult gun ie is made in bronze and considered the oldest canon in the world

Terrific video. It will be very useful info for WW4. Sorry for the cynicism. I really found it interesting.

This is great! I am blown away by the amount of manual force that has to be exerted. Did you ever attempt to shoot it?

This reminds of the medieval stereotyped blacksmith

@maddoc222 It looks to me like the piece that forms the muzzle is just another big ring put on like the others. Which appear to be put on hot and allowed to shrink to fit

I soooo want one of those!
If I had two of them mounted on my front lawn I wonder if it'd keep burglars away?

Great video seeing this done more by hand but some narration would have obviously been nice in some sections

Is this how cannon were made in the 15th century? Or those guys are trying to create the same type of cannon with different method?

Come to Holland. :-) Make canonns for Dutch Royal Navy. We fight tribes, we can win wars with old cannons. Probably no one wants you. Come to Holland to work, or send us cannons. To win food.

As this is in Denmark, the correct way would be ; KANON
