- Hello Folks, Today we dive into the door glass abyss. One thing I learnt, It ain't easy getting detailed shots of me working inside the door. I don't know how useful this video will be to you but here it is for your perusal. I am working toward my goal of Betsy being water tight, Oregon proof if you will.

Hmmm, now I’ll have to look closely at those clips before putting things back on when I get there. Thanks for the video!
I had to use those new clips, another drawback that sharp edge digs into the paint. Haven’t put the trim back on yet.
Looks like Dorman has a part # 45603 that looks to be correct. Have to be special ordered though.
@@donsmanufactory I’m probably a year+ out from even thinking about trim clips, but great to know!
good info thanks
Glad you found it useful, thanks for watching.
I too hated assembly of the glass, getting the right angles on both the vent window and guide plus the main glass as well so they meet properly at the top was a pain. also the other challenge is the window needed to lean in toward the car so when you close the door it clears the door frame seal but when closed it must stand up to engage that seal. My wife's 2013 Mustang does this by lowering the window automatically by a hair and when closed it puts the window up all the way to engage the seal. To this day I find if I need to put the top up that I put the glass up first then the top. Lookin good. How is the reunion countdown going, going to make it??
Thanks Wally. It’s a toss up right now. If it looks like not then I’ll take a day to service the motorcycle. Some classmates identify me as part of the biker hooligan gang as well.
@@donsmanufactory you hooligan you 😄
Maybe it’s just me but I was hoping to learn how to install the vent window but with the video speed at 100 mph, I couldn’t see anything.
Thanks Kevin, I guess you can use the pause or just slow down the replay (speed setting).
I think the passenger side assembly video segment is over an hour long at regular speed. I figured nobody would want to sit through that.
has anyone else had problems with the glass rolling up fine until it get the last 10% of the range and then the front gets caught and the back bucks up but then the front rolls up the rest of the way? and then the same happens when you start to roll it down, gets stuck but once it starts going down its fine. Anyone else had this?
Sounds like the stops need to be adjusted. Hard to say without seeing it in person.
Nothing worse than trying to record and install parts.
