Germany has some influence in Qindao. If you're still in China in October, do go to Qindao for the festival. However, October 1 - October 10 are public holidays in China. It's going to be very crowded. October 1 is China's National day.

The funny thing is, Wuhan is actually more famous for its breakfast choices, which are usually found on the street or in small restaurants. I guess different cities and provinces have their own specialties, some are good with fine meals and dishes and some have better street food and snacks. good choice to go to a restaurant. even a cheap looking hole in the wall can have amazing food much better than street food. plus you can get a real taste of the local dishes since as you mentioned most of the street food is somewhat the same across china. hope you tried regan mian, the signature noodle dish of wuhan lol. most dry noodle dishes add the sauces/toppings to order so you can just ask for vegetarian if you aren't sure about the meat since it's likely to be pork.
The Wuhan Open Tennis tournament starts from 7Oct -13 Oct 24. Anyway, chinese love going out to enjoy their holidays with their families. Most of them are from neighboring cities or provinces. They just need to take the high speed train for a few hours. It is very convenience now, cheap and fast. Oct 1st will be the country’s National day and there will be more people than that. The funny thing is, Wuhan is actually more famous for its breakfast choices, which are usually found on the street or in small restaurants. I guess different cities and provinces have their own specialties, some are good with fine meals and dishes and some have better street food and snacks. good choice to go to a restaurant. even a cheap looking hole in the wall can have amazing food much better than street food. plus you can get a real taste of the local dishes since as you mentioned most of the street food is somewhat the same across china. hope you tried regan mian, the signature noodle dish of wuhan lol. most dry noodle dishes add the sauces/toppings to order so you can just ask for vegetarian if you aren't sure about the meat since it's likely to be pork.
