Thank u thats what I think it saves the wear and tear plugging and unplugging also after awhile the charger gets really loose from that then time for another one I go thru $10 chargers every other month lol
Additional pros/cons Pros: this extends the life of your device's charging port as you're not constantly connecting/disconnecting it. If you drop your phone or anything that might hit the cable it will simply disconnect instead of bending or causing damage to the port. No foreign debris will make its way into the charge port as it is always covered. Cons: magnets attract dirt, so it is very likely that if you were to drop your phone or put it anywhere near dirt, it'll magnetize it and if you've ever removed dirt from a magnet you'll know it's a pain.
@@digitalcurrents bro try searching on amazon though I don't recommend using it on laptops it may fry your board. Suitable only for smartphones or keyboard.
I have put these through heavy use with delivery work. Just a fantastic product. I have worn out a few adapters & 1 cable with many many uses over a number of years. Newer options exist for fast charging.
Normally when I play games on my phone while charging I will accidentally bend the charger due to the shape of my phone, so the magnetic charger would work better since if I bend it to much it would just disconnect, but I could just leave it there to charge using a normal cable
I have the same cables. Great idea, but the end with the magnet fails. I did an autopsy, the magnet has little spot welds inside to attach the wire. These break with use.
if they eventually have fast charging capabilities I think it'd be worth a purchase for me, the convenience is nice but I don't want to sacrifice another convenience for it.
They do have fast charging capabilities. If you *Google* "TOPK Magnetic Charging Cable,(4-Pack,1ft,3ft,3ft,6ft)3A Fast Charging Data Transfer USB Magnetic Cable" it should be the first link. I bought 3 sets and literally have the dongle parts plugged into phones, mice, headphones, controllers, nintendo switch and ipads, with the cables scattered throughout the house (and car) so everyone can pretty much charge everything anywhere.
I got some similar ones from Statik, but I wouldn’t recommend them at all. They worked at first, but a year on… not so much. The charging just keeps dropping out, dropping in, dropping out, dropping in… If it’s a device that’s constantly going in and out if your pocket, the conductive metal plating eventually rubs off the magnet. And the magnet VERY easily lets moisture into your charging socket, so then you can’t charge the phone for several hours. Avoid.
I saw similar magnetic cables on amazon, but I wasn't sure how well they would work, after watching your video I have a better idea now. Thanks for the video!
I was using these for awhile, they are convenient but at some point the inside of one got metal shavings in it which bridged the connection and caused an issue with my phones battery and it it smelled burnt. I ended up not using them anymore. a USB C is rated about 10 years if you unplug and replug it in 3-5 times a day.
@@abdulhamidkahya6634 thanks! I’ll keep these in mind, I about a week ago noticed it stays lit and charging if I have the usb end just plugged into a USB port rather than into a cube plug and then plugging that into a wall. So far it’s been great, but thank u.
Nice review! :) I've bought a Kuulaa (it's just another brand I guess?) magnetic cable two months ago and I'm still happy with it (you can easily find it within your tangled mess of cables^^)
Hey, are you still liking the Kuulaa chargers? Any issues at all? What device do you use it with. 8 months later lol, just curious if they hold up. Thanks in advance
I tried one of these magnetic chargers and in an hour my battery went from 40% to 44%. At this rate it will take a couple days to fully charge. My original charger fully charge in just over an hour so I really DON'T recommend these magnetic chargers. Are there quicker magnetic chargers out there or are they all the same?
You need to get a usb voltmeter to test your charger output in slow charge mode, or try a charger that doesn't have quick charge negotiation. If the charger voltage is under 5 volts or above 5.4 volts, it might be defective. Everything relies on charger voltage output. A longer cable will have more resistance and any non-quick charge cable longer than 3 feet may charge very slowly if at all. So select a short length cable for non-quick charge. Quick Charge operates by increasing the charging voltage to 9 volts or more depending, by negotiating a handshake with a quick charge charger. This higher voltage overcomes the cord length issue.
I love them as well, However you forgot to indicate that they don't support data transfer and only charging capability. But other than that they're awsome.
Is there any standard for magnetic USB? The company I went with previously, Digital Ant, is sold out of what I need on Amazon. And now I'm thinking I want to be careful when investing in a collection of both cables and tips.
I’ve bought the same cables two times. The first time I bought them as a two pack and after about a month they stopped working. I figured out that the problem was the little magnetic thing that goes into your phone. I must admit that I did take them out to switch cases or to clean my phone but I don’t see how that would break it though. Now the same thing has happened and I’m very confused as to why. Does anyone know the answer to this?

I have the same problem mine is TOPK branded its 2m but its the same on the video the cable light or charging on the phone is flactuating/flickering when the wire in the end of the cable is slightly bent or touched only had it for 3-4 months and only used it for about once a week im guessing its causing a short inside when the cable is bent or the solder is really cheap and losing contact with the wires inside
I had one amazon special, idk 20 or so CANADIAN dollars for 3 4 5 cords? and the typical like 9 inserts 3 of each. They lasted me well over a year and a half, no fast charge, but the chrome coating or whatever is on the inserts simply wore off, causing them to not charge well. I got another set, and this one the magnet isnt as good, and overall seems to be far worse. I think i'm going to go ahead and purchase one of the newer fast charge models, even with the high cost.
Is it safe to keep it connected for the magnetic charging pin head on the usb charging port of the mobile phone eventhough its not charging? Please advise me... Thanks ;)
These are great for micro usb cords specifically. Those have to be the worst ever cord nubs. They broke on me constantly because the little prongs break or wear down with repeated plugging and unplugging making the cord loose and slow charging. Magnetic ones completely fix the problem.

Other brands will have quick charging or turbo charging or whatever you have what you want to do is search for the length of why you want as well as adding quick charging to the search bar and you'll be able to find some I have three 10 ft cables for around $25 that support quick charging and the only time I broke one was when I got it stuck between the seat of my car and it broke the tip which would have happened with any other charger

I'm trying to find an answer are magnetic chargers & data cables safe. I've seen many sites saying most people are afraid of the magnets harming the phone which makes no sense to me. I'm wondering why nobody is asking about having the terminals exposed where they can come into contact with conductive materials possibly shorting out the board. Did you test power output? I tried a similar one in store and measured only 0.3A. I have the non rotating type and that will do 1.3A. I suspect because the rotating type only has two pins for power and none for data, it can't negotiate a higher charge rate
