that table is just incredible. the amount of work put into the exploded, destroyed and collapsed buildings and catwalks is wonderful. all the tiny detail of rubble and exposed pieces to make it look authentic and not just like old brokeass scenery you had left over really brings it all together. you guys put together some of the best looking tables by far.

YES! Love Striking Scorpion Apoc games. What an absolutely gorgeous table set-up and a classic match-up as well. Would like to see the elimination of command re-rolls in future Apoc games, aside from saving time and reinforcing a narrative story the dice tell, it seems cheesy to keep rerolling 3 or 4 times to get a desired result for a single weapon in my humble opinion. Thanks for sharing as always.

Absolutely incredible report! The terrain was fantastic, the explosion in the centre, with the rubble, broken walkways and the swarm of nids just oozing from the centre just completely encapsulated my imagination. Both armies were just sublime as always and the 13th won the day 🤩. Absolutely loved it 😍 you guys do absolutely stellar work in your reports and I can’t wait to see the Ultramarines in action 👍 COURAGE AND HONOUR and a very Merry Christmas to yourselves and your families. I think this might be the most cinematic fight you have published since I have started watching the channel. You couldn't script a better scene than the Primarch charging from the shadows to engage the Swarmlord after it dispatched the bikers. Great stuff!!

That Ultramarines movement turn two was epic, I imagine Guilliman arriving and shouting out orders, “VETS, SEAL THE BREACH”…… “VINDICATOR, MOVE UP AND HOLD THE LINE”……”MARNEUS, WITH ME, WE CUT THE HEAD OFF THE SNAKE’.

Might be cool to do a Devastation of Baal scenario with Blood Angels and Ultramarines as a reliving forces that come in on second turn as would be normal for reinforcements

So looking forward to this. I feel like the overwatch should be able to go on the stealers instead of the brood lord when he charged (i know the rules say otherwise but i think it is fluffy that the hive mind would throw bodies infront of the brood lord to protect it!
Beautifully done. Just some questions as I watch. At 1.04.58, you declared and rolled a failed tyrannid charge, the genestealers vs the vanguard where the bridge distance was measured, you rolled a 10 needing 11+. Surely you should have faced Overwatch of some kind for the failed charge?
Since overwatch is a strat now, normally he would have only been able to overwatch 1 time per charge phase but since they're doing multiple use same strats he could have. He may have just forgotten or simply didn't want to overwatch, but he didn't declare it and it's not automatic.
That’s got to be the best bat rep I have ever seen! I reckon do it again but have the tyranids come back on 5+ and maybe let them advance auto 6 on turn 1 just to get them in quickly they really didn’t stand a chance
Tyranids overview : yeah yeah big bugs that bug this bug Space marines : thematic lore and enthusiasm with every specific single detail on what colour boots they're wearing... I think that could have been done better 🤣 Also don't apologize for banter. It's good to have fun!
I think the nids were hampered by the 6 to recycle across the board. I'd have gone with something like a 4 for the gaunts & rippers, 5 for the more elite units like genestealers & Lictors and then 6 for the monsters.
Question: Why don't you use the Octarius rules? Kind of playing with a handicap right now, since the Ultramarines have a full 9th edition codex and you don't.
Great stand-off! Pure pleasure. Ultramarines did the job as always. Tactical genius revealed itself once again: show your weakness, lure the enemy in the trap and decimate it without a pity or remorse. Actually 'nids had no single chance. Big G is not some Guard's general with rusty Leman Russes. If a bug can chew a manticore or chimera doesn't mean it can oppose the master of the war art. Where others see heroic deads Ultramarines have just work that must and can be done. Do it and move over.

In a game this scale something like a deathstorm drop pod actually becomes useful, so much squishy infantry to shoot... would be beautiful.

Don't know if it was a pre-agreed thing but Guilliman can't have 2 Warlord traits, named characters wargear and WLT's can't be altered
