    Yes !! I am just waiting till your front wheel bearing goes so then I can see how you do it! I have now bought 6 bearings for the front wheels as I keep damaging the bloody bearings, this time I have bought an actual press and I am gonna try sticking those bearings in the freezer before I fit them

    Just letting you know that I've somehow actually started saying fucking "YES" when things go wrong for me IRL (which is most of the time if I'm honest) so now I'm claiming it as my own idea. I'll be copyrighting it so expect a letter from my solicitor instructing you to hand over all your UA-cam money to me (YES). Thanks for your time.

    Absolutely fcking brilliant, in the road, one Jack, pissing with rain, wondering if some granny is going to run you over… yes this truly is a real representation of working on one’s car 😆. Loving the ‘shitroen’ moniker and smattering of ‘shitter’ to describe and connections that will probably fail! Oh and the reference to the exhaust noise covering up the car falling apart…. Yes I too own a Shitroen… it all true. New subber here, loving the vid 👍

    Messing aside , the wheel would leave you enough space to make the difference between breaking a few bones in your foot , or cutting it off ,,, referred to by those in heavy recovery as a survival space ,,, it may just make the difference ,, I hope you never have to test the theory , but you never know ,,,, and you still have a spare in the boot , so really it was only lazy that stopped you using two wheels stacked to make the job safer ,,,, that ratchet could be getting closer to me every day ,,,,

    It is okay to just replace one side? I did both last time the driver's side ball joint went, now, 40k miles later, it driver's side again.
    Cheers.

    • @StupidBlokeStupidVideos

      In an ideal world they would be replaced as a pair, but it’s not important in the same way as something like brake pads that should always be replaced as a pair. The only benefit of changing both together is that if one is worn out then chances are the other isn’t far behind. It won’t cause any issues just changing one other than you may find yourself having to do the other side not long after. It’s common practice just to replace the damaged/worn out side.

    I'm confused. You went into some detail about applying the black paint to the wishbone but no detail, whatsoever, of what the green paint marks (clearly visible at 8:31 and 9:06) are for, where you should apply them or what shade of green they should be. Some randomly applied, left over, nail varnish to make it look factory?

    • @StupidBlokeStupidVideos

      Oh yea I forgot to show the all important green. It was a shade called “Jade Inspirational Empowerment” from the Rimmel London collection. Bought it off Kate Moss at a car boot.

    Hello there, just recently found your channel and really appreciate your helpful tips and tricks. I followed your instructions on refurbishing my lower ball joint and the glue gun tightened up the joint really well, I was thrilled by the results. Unfortunately, my wife took the car to aquasize tonight and all went well until, for some unfathomable reason the front wheel parted company with the car as she turned into our drive, it bounced down the road and crashed through the neighbours front window. My wife subsequently lost control and hit my classic E type jaguar and pushed it into the garage door, which duly folded up and the car continued into the garage and through the rear wall. I spoke to my solicitor about this as my neighbour is sueing me for criminal damage and emotional and psychological assault. My solicitor said that it may be a good idea if I got your name and address, purely for routine reasons of course. Many thanks for the most informative vids. Paul

    Hi, I just need to replace the lower ball joint, used your videos to get it all apart but cant seem to separate the ball joint from the wishbone. Is this possible or do you need to remove the whole wishbone and get a new one with the ball joint and new rubbers already fitted. Complete is £40, ball joint on itself is £15 but dont want to spend hours and hours trying to separate it for the sake of £25 difference and then its all new and replaced.

    • @StupidBlokeStupidVideos
      @StupidBlokeStupidVideos  Рік тому

      I’ve replaced the ball joint previously, but they don’t come out on all of them and the new one was such a piss fit that I had to weld it in. I’d just replace the full arm for what it’s worth tbh

  • @tomthompson7400
    @tomthompson7400 Рік тому

    Does it still come true if everyone knows
    ......
    what you wished for when you pull that wishbone out though ??
    Personally I wish I had a tin of paint as good as yours ,,, one quick dust and that looked just like a new wishbone .. [ for those who dont know }
    having said that the old trick was to mix up a pull tin of body filler and load it into a brand new grease gun , pump it into worn king pins through the grease nipples , wipe off tye excess then put a dab of grease on so they look just greased , leave it for an hour to set , put the wheels back on and drive straight to psv .... [ or so Im told }
