All this about Jimmy and in the last two sentences you mention he had a business jet and a "Boeing"..... Your research really did not find out who Jimmy really was. One big void is you missed his love of flying. The Boeing is a Steerman... a very cool radial engined pre World War 2 plane. What he liked even more was his Albatross sea plane . He was rated to fly several sea planes as well as float planes. Music was the first business. Flying was a love. No mention of his island hopping "airline". I don't think you know that much about Jimmy.
I had Jimmy buffet land at the same airport I did and got to tour his Jet and his Albatross. I then went to his concert that night near brown field. They use the Albatross to fly over the crowd to warm up the audience before the concert. I remember the air traffic controller telling Buffet to be on the lookout for a Cessna 182 at his 12 o’clock when he was coming out of Burbank and I was flying over LAX. That was me. He said he didn’t have me but had me on the fish finder. He said he would divert and went by my 3 o’clock position. One of my favorite aviation stories and I tell it whenever anyone will listen.
I cried come Monday, then took her out for a burger in.Paradice, then went Margareta volleyball, danced to the left, danced to the right, got drunk went home and screwed all nite, cause he is a son of a son of a sailor man!!! Jimmy didn't know this but for a while I hung with him in my bathroom, cried and danced! In the. Order above! My husband thought I was crazy!
I like the fact that he doesn't wanna retire and stop touring because he'd get bored. Sounds like I might be able to see him 1 day, hopefully this year
3 mins of info spread over 10 mins due to pacing, speech phrasing and repeating material. I guess that's technically a genius approach to monetize a YT channel. But this vid was a mess. How does a video that discusses JBs film appearances not mention FM!?!?
Ya know what's "funny"? Is that his real estate development in Hardeeville, SC, called "Latitude Margaritaville" goes un-mentioned. A nice place, (I guess, not having never been in there), but I drive past there as infrequently as possible since it's LITERALLY out in the "sticks", but it's on my job route. Not much in the vicinity except a highway called "278" No grocery stores, (or for that matter, NO stores within a 5-10 mile radius), but the retirement homes there run, (or so I've heard), around $3-400K. MAN !!! Grocery delivery and UBER guys must flourish there. 'Just saying...I loved the guy and his music, but perhaps a questionable call for buying the property in the middle of nowhere.
This is fascinating information, and I thank you, but you could really work on improving the production values of your videos. This is just sloppy and there's no need for it.
James W, is a mediocre singer, at best. That being said, I've been to the last 2 concerts he has done, here in Phoenix. Jimmy is one HELL of a story-teller! I can't think of someone that is alive, that can beat him at telling stories. (I DO know who Joe Merchant is, and his sister!) I would LOVE a ride on Desdemona's rocket ship. steve

Saw JB for the first time in 1974 at the Main Point in Bryn Mawr, PA and several times there after. This was before all the Parrot Head craziness started. I saw him again in the early 1990s at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia and the audience made so much noise and partying you couldn't hear the concert. That put me off going to JB concerts for a long time. Did see him a few years ago at CB Park in Philadelphia and the sound system was able to overcome the crowd noise from the PHs.
Hey, I saw him in 74 at the Main Point too! What a cozy venue that was for seeing acts that became wildly popular. Saw Leonard Cohen, Bonnie Raitt, Leon Rebone, Chris Smither, Cheech and Chong, Tom Rush, Don McClean….so many more wonderful artists at the Main Point. Great memories of that place!
The album 'Living and dying in three quarter time?!?' Really...? Do you really know so little about music as to not call it Living and Dying in Three-Four Time??
This is a decent slug of info for a new fan or explorer. There was plenty that was missed but I’m sure you had to pick and choose due to the time window. The editing is a bit rough and the interview sound bites were butchered. The end bit with the planes and cars woefully omitted Buffett’s most famous plane, the Hemisphere Dancer, which is still displayed at Margaritaville Orlando.
Wow, how could you miss the breadth of his interest and activities in aviation…including his ratings, his many planes including a Stearman and three historic Grumman seaplanes? (Yes I know you said he owned a “Boeing” [which the Stearman is] but that could be nearly anything in the company’s long history.) Do better research.
This was a poor quality video. You repeated many topics and using stock footage is just poor quality too. Who cares if he owned a Cadillac Escalade. You should take this down and do a proper video on Jimmy with no BS stock pictures of a house or car. If you can’t show the actual house, that’s fine! Better to show nothing.
Jimmy had a Grumman Albatross flying boat. The Ultimate Fishing Machine! What every fish nerd would love to have! Jimmy, if there is no fishing in heaven, wait for me. I will create a place!
I grew up with Jimmy, as my Mom was a fan from 1975 on. The records were always on until 1982 or so when she remarried. I always kinda liked him, but my music tastes got stranger when I inherited cases of 78s of 1905-50. That's a Rambler Ametican, they brought back the smaller 1953 body as 1958 was a recession year. The American, as a smaller small car remained in production into the mid '60s.
I first heard Jimmy around 73-74. He was on a variety show. I was hooked !!! A few years later,I saw him in 🎶.concert. I made my BF go. I was officially a Parrothead.. Saw him EVERY time he was in Memphis. Come on y’all… Meet me in Memphis 🎧🎤🎧🎸
Jimmy lived the American dream! He embraced it, just like others like him. It is possible for anyone who wants it! The only reason you don’t obtain it, is YOU! Look in the mirror that is who is holding back! May God embrace Jimmy Buffet for all eternity!
I like your music. I like the stories. I ve read your book. That was a wonderful story. But. When I hear some of your songs and how you make fun of your Catholic upbringing. You riticul God and scoff at what are good ways. It makes me sad for you. Your influence on people is significant.. therefore what you say resonates in them. When you make light of these really holy things in the name of escapism I don t like it. And I got a feeling the big guy doesn t find it pleasing either. And jimmy. You were born and raised Catholic. We will be held to a higher standard than our protestant brothers. You may want to consider that when you proffess that your feet stink your head hurts etc etc. I love the music but I find you disappointing.
I was at a club in Dallas named Mother Blues on a Monday night. I had no idea who was playing that night and didn’t much care but it turned out to be some guy named Jimmy Buffett and another guy with him, both playing acoustics. I grabbed a beer, got a seat and thought I’d check this out, drink a few beers and leave early. Didn’t have to look very hard for a seat as there were maybe 6-8 other people in the main room. I listened to a few songs and knew that this fella was gonna be somebody. He played Monday- Friday and I was there for every one of them. He semi packed the place on Friday night with maybe 20 people. I was right for maybe the first and last time in my life about this Jimmy Buffett guy becoming a somebody. I did see him again some time later- took our 10 year old son who slept through most of the show. Funny thing is when he asked the crowd if anyone saw him at Mother Blues back when, probably 1000 people yelled and scream. Jimmy and I both got a big chuckle from the response. RIP Mr Buffett- I bet you’re in Paris, looking for answers to questions that bothered him so. Mike
Based on the amount of happiness Buffett has brought to people, I'd say he deserves everything he has.
he's gone and didn't take any of it with him.

And more! Miss him already. Great person. Talented, fun loving , just all around a beautiful man.

R.I.P. Jimmy Buffett You will Be Missed 😢❤😢❤
I MET JIMMY BUFFETT IN A WAREHOUSE GIG. AT 2 AM, CHICAGO, BEFORE ANYBODY HEARD OF HIM
I saw him at the Main Point, 1971, a intimate coffee house in Bryn Mawr PA. He was virtually unknown, I have his first album DOWN TO EARTH 😮❤️

Buffett is one of only seven authors to have a number one book on both the New York Times Fiction and Non-Fiction Best Sellers list.
RIP Jimmy, you'll be missed, and thanks for all the memories.
Love his entrepreneurial spirit and that he makes money doing what he loves - This is a man that figured it out!
Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st 2023 surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs. Aged 76 years.

I've been to 4 concerts of his in Arizona which were the best ever! He's a lasting an true icon..I Love him! Love him! Love him!
Jimmy did everything right, one of the greatest lives lived by man ❤
Good business man turned Margaritaville into an empire!
R.I.P. Jimmy you were worth it all.
Man…. There are a lot of cheesy people out there funding all of this based on the “we like to relax, and hang at the beach” theme. Go jimmy!
Well Jimmy, it's 5:00 somewhere. It's 4:14 here in Buffalo.

Jimmy's music puts me in my happy place
How did you choose the sound bites? Throw a dart?
My Hero.
He was a staunch liberal. He supported them and ran fundraisers for liberals, including one for Hillary Clinton in 2016.
as a Cuban who had to flee to Florida because of communism ..I despised that man as he was friends with the castro murderous regime.

Way out of date and inaccurate info.
Jimmy Buffett music for the next 76 hours. September 1, 2023.
He sold coke to get his start.
Some famous people make it to their nineties drinking that stuff.😅
RIP Jimmy 09/01/2023. Thank You for the many years of memories and entertainment !!!
He could afford the best medical care, still died relatively young. We don't take it with us.
I used to go to the Raven Gallery. Never saw Jimmy, there, nor anywhere, yet. The Raven is long gone. Sad day when it closed.
I wonder if he ever paid back the mini-mart.
Where do these producers find the script writers? High School summer jobs?

❤ Heck yeah all the time.

WHY WHY won,t he buy a house in Key West? Palm Beach is for arrogant people.
Jimmy was worth $1 Billion at his death. He can do anything he wanted. And he did. Good for him.

Seems he would have bought some Berkshire Hathaway back in the ‘60’s that would be worth a whole lot now!
Just investing in Apple ten years ago would have made him over ten times his investment.
Maybe he did! He & Warren Buffett had several “get togethers” & a couple of joint interviews.
I love Alan Jackson so it's through their hit song I got to see him but never heard or knew him.
