You are so cute when you experience new things. And some that you aren't used to, like tunnels. :) Glad you took the leap to move beyond your comfort zone and get out there and explore
Hey there Bud. Hope you are having a great day, traveling safely and without incident. Just remember that you never know when duct tape will come in handy so keep an extra roll just-in-case... Thanks for another kicking video! Brian
You going across the Golden Gate Bridge reminded me of when I rode my old Harley across it on a solo trip from New Orleans in '8. Getting to the G.G. Bridge was the highlite of the trip, like I had reached the summit of the mountain. Have fun and be safe.
Daaaayem, this is a very interesting, fun, cool and entertaining video with a lot going on! Understood about a van in SF easier to park but then maybe no Jax and other things only in an RV. Randy in MN
oUCH that looks like it smarts! thanks Eric for another great tour of your adventures and great music video! its great how you share the hiccups of life with the fun stuff.. . Happy Thanksgiving to you and JaX! :)
Before you hit your prescription issues you mentioned it was a great day. Mine was too - just shoveled 8 inches of snow off the driveway and sidewalk. And it's still snowing. BTW, you should be sponsored by Nike with that mark on your noggin. Offer to take your cap off when you are in the video. Just do it.;P
You know, I almost edited out the prescription problems, but then i remembered this is reality that I show, not some fake "perfect life". Fact is, stores don't always perform as they say they should. And it cost me money, time, and stress. I kept it to show my viewers the truth. Believe me, I edited out more of my disgust. :)
Happy turkey day to you and Jax. Hope to get to California soon. Careful though I here Cali is not very friendly to boondockers/van dwellers and that the fines are outrageous. Maybe they never got over the 60s & 70s. Lol.
You need some of that magical water too - makes your van bigger at night or in your case, smaller when trying to find a parking place. Don't we wish. We had the same problem last year and went to Oakland to park and then took the ferry into San Francisco and because we were over 65 and after 10:00, it was half price.
Driving along golden gate park... It is hard to tell what part of the city would be best for you... your driving in the busy part.. Suggestion for you next trip.. try a little further down the line on 101 ..but remember of course.. the city has plenty of hills. Safe travel and happy holidays. I used to live in the city 20 years ago and the Bay Area before Thailand.
Happy thanksgiving to you and jax. Yeah SF is the most r.v unfriendly town on the west coast. Seems everyone parks in oakland and ferries over lol. I have been following your video's because I plan on going nomadic in the next couple years. I just bought myself A 98 bounder 37 ft r/v for next to nothing and am in the process of fixing it up and getting it ready for the road. With some luck/time and money I will have it done by the end of the summer(2015) And plan on hitting the road in the spring of 2016. So please keep up with the vid's and be safe out there.
Try to visit the boardwalk at Santa Cruz.I think it is South of San Francisco and along the coast. My Cousin said she had been there several times and it has a pretty nice boardwalk, plus it is a real pretty area. Are you familiar with the movie "The Lost Boys"? They used the boardwalk in that movie, but for the movie they changed the name of the town from Santa Cruz to Santa Carlo.
Hope the MH is okay in Okaland. Not an overall safe place. Look me up in Quartzsite, AZ when you get down here. Have a video edit project, job for you. Don
I would let RiteAid know about your experience, being told another location can fill it and then having tell you that it was already filled at another location. i did that once and they made it right at my pharmacy of another company.
Downtown SF with an RV... your a brave man! Been through there many times, always used Lombard and Vaness (sp?), got caught once in the middle of the Gay parade with the family. Boy did my kids get an education.
I lived in the Bay area 20+ years, commuted to SF 4+. Tried to warn him. I'd circle around for 30-40 minutes, just trying to park a little Saturn. Got towed once, cost me $300 to get it back same day. They rack up the price everyday, if I'd waited would have cost a lot more. SF is not an RV friendly city on many levels, not just trying to park.
***** Yeah, I saw your post. I have friends in the bay area and SF is hideous for street parking and regulations (especially for RVs). Well if he thinks SF is bad, he's going to get a real awakening in LA. A lot of dicey communities that will strip his RV while he sleeps. Eric, a little advice, start reading the comments from those that have been RVing a lot longer than you have... stay safe and enjoy the trip...
Dear Eric & Jax, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you guys get some turkey! So sorry you hurt your head, that looks painful as heck! Got to watch the rest of the vid now...don't let jax O.D. on the catnip! That was really cool tho! Peace out...
happy thanksgiving eric and jax video is awesome feel like im with you have a happy day and catnipplant cool jax will have fun with than take care happy motoring craig from long island...
Are you getting a woody going through a tunnel? You gotta get out more often.:) Why do you think everyone in San Fran drives a shoe box size car? There ain't no parking. And they live stacked up on top of each other like cord wood. Welcome to libland Eric!!
I hate driving in S.F.. My son goes to college there. By they way in Ca. it is Illegal to honk in a tunnel unless you are broken down and blocking traffic.
I used to hit my head all the time in my RV just above a table I built and since I changed the design. I haven't hit it in some time. Yes it really hurts! There must be some design rules for RV interiors because it doesn't look like everyone hits their heads unless they change the design. Justin Incrediable must hit his head because he is always changing something?
Yeah, California IS very unfriendly toward rvs and truckers. And if you leave JAX in the RV while you're gone, make sure you keep him in his crate, or away from the windows. People there WILL break out a window if they think an animal's "suffering" If you want to stop in Anaheim, I'd still suggest going east on HWY 58 to US395 south,I-15 south instead of I-215. to 210 Freeway west, then south on 57. Keeps you out of L.A. TRAFFIC, you will idle LONG TIME there
Have you read "Travels with Charley" by John Steinbeck? He drove across the USA in 1960 in a truck with a camper. He wrote of the people he met along the way...kind of like you Eric. Here's a summary en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travels_with_Charley
This is one of my very favorite books from my favorite Author of all time. From that point on, I dreamed of doing the very same thing. Only problem is, life, college, a job with tenure and bills kept me welded to my home state. Once the rat-race gets you locked down, fear of everything keeps you there. I admire what you are doing Eric at your age you have plenty of time to lock down to a place with all the rest of the rat-race. I just say, live tiny, take up little space and have very little belonging. And final thought do not go into debt for anything. Oh and yes read the book or get it on tape and listen to it as you drive.
Yes Martin Sage, I agree and now I think I may have to reread it all over again. Hey Eric, let us know if you decide to read it or not. Some people are just not readers.
Stupid GooTube dropped my subscription for your channel off my favorites list so I am playing serious catch up... but loving the journey! Thanks for sharing!
Oh....i noticed you were in Oakland there turning into walmart parking lot....if I would have known would have visit u...play some guitar...thats my neighborhood right there...thats a bad walmart there though bud....look close at the ground.....all that broken glass?...each pile a car broken in....very bad walmart lot....
Yep, thanx for cutting out ur rants, I thought u was gonna get run outta that Walmart. for sure. I bet if u stayed another night. Ima look at a class b tomorrow Eric, these people said if I put a new floor in their house, we can trade. its old dodge, w/ low miles.
Nomadic Fanatic My wife suffers from acid reflux really bad and about 7 years ago she had to pay 80 dollars,, That is interesting. I thought I was getting screwed, thanks for telling just how bad.. drive safe..
Nomadic Fanatic Omeprazole and loratadine are both generic and over the counter meds…no need for a prescription. Also loratadine is on the $4 list at Wal-Mart. Not sure why your not buying your meds at Wal-Mart ???
Epic shots of the Golden Gate Bridge...nice!
I loved the music today and stay safe out there I left calif in 66 don't ever want to go back.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Jax.
Enjoying following your trip down the west coast..Can't wait til I get to go west someday..Thanks for sharing..
You are so cute when you experience new things. And some that you aren't used to, like tunnels. :)
Glad you took the leap to move beyond your comfort zone and get out there and explore
I got such joy watching your expression when you saw & then drove over the Golden Gate bridge...
It was very interesting seeing the footage leading up to, and going over the bridge.
Another great video. Thanks for posting!
Your music choices are by far the greatest, and the editing with them is awsome , Great job on your cali trip Eric,,
I just love your Travel / Rv'ing vlogs, thanks so much!
Happy Thanksgiving.. be sure to pick Jax up some turkey giblets in gravy in the cat food section of your next WalMart...lol
Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope you Have a awesome one! Keep up all the good work, love your vids.
Hey there Bud. Hope you are having a great day, traveling safely and without incident. Just remember that you never know when duct tape will come in handy so keep an extra roll just-in-case... Thanks for another kicking video! Brian
I love duct tape, Brian! I have 3 rolls. :)

Yup. It was a 24ft 1983
Loved the look on your face as you neared the bridge. You made me feel it too. Thanks for taking me along ;)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Jax. Loved watching your expression as you were coming up to the Golden Gate Bridge - priceless.
Looked like a Beaver with a ball cap on fixing to eat some bark to me... just sayin'..
You going across the Golden Gate Bridge reminded me of when I rode my old Harley across it on a solo trip from New Orleans in '8. Getting to the G.G. Bridge was the highlite of the trip, like I had reached the summit of the mountain.
Have fun and be safe.
It was in 1981.
So what happened to your Ranger?
What a great Thanksgiving,,,,I got to ride across the Golden Gate Bridge with you and Jax!!!! Hope you and Jax are having a terrific Thanksgiving.
Why do you need an Rx for either of your medications? They are both available over the counter.
Tracy Belt The prescription isn't necessary, you're right. But they are covered by my health insurance so I can save some money doing it this way.
Happy Thanksgiving my friend
Sweet you past my car (well someone has the same car) driving down that hill. :)
I truly enjoyed that! Thanks for the ride!
Happy Thanksgiving
Peace
Happy Thanksgiving to you and jax God bless.
So whats the fascination with tunnels..lol, and whats the song & artist at 2.50
song is from www.freemusicarchive.com. I just love tunnels. :)
Oh ok & thanks...
Daaaayem, this is a very interesting, fun, cool and entertaining video with a lot going on! Understood about a van in SF easier to park but then maybe no Jax and other things only in an RV. Randy in MN

Happy turkey day to you and Jax. Hope to get to California soon. Careful though I here Cali is not very friendly to boondockers/van dwellers and that the fines are outrageous. Maybe they never got over the 60s & 70s. Lol.
great stuff as always I'm never disappointed, this was a cool ride thanks Eric =D
Awesome to get to cross the Golden Gate Bridge. Been so long since I went too it. Cool places.
thanks for the ride, Eric!
happy Thanksgiving!
do they have karaoke places there in the SF area?
Nightmare of no parking spot that must have sucked. Loved watching the approach to the bridge
You need some of that magical water too - makes your van bigger at night or in your case, smaller when trying to find a parking place. Don't we wish. We had the same problem last year and went to Oakland to park and then took the ferry into San Francisco and because we were over 65 and after 10:00, it was half price.
happy Thanksgiving Eric
Very exciting video!
Thanks again for sharing, brought back memories of 1993 :)

Just a warning when you hit LA the traffic is horrendous. Travel in the off times or you're going to get like 26 feet to the gallon.
Very cool Eric! Stay safe

RV seems to be running well!
A long trip is probably good for the engine!

you didnt have to pay toll when crossing the bridge i thought that there was
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Jax. Why don't you get your prescriptions at Walmart?
I've been over that bridge a few times. Awesome!
Hope the MH is okay in Okaland. Not an overall safe place. Look me up in Quartzsite, AZ when you get down here. Have a video edit project, job for you. Don

Van Rider, The problem is it's not the education you want your kids to have!!!
SF is not an RV friendly city on many levels, not just trying to park.

if your interested , Jackson Browne " running on empty" is a fantastic travling tape /or cd if you a youngster ..lol . great vids , keep it up
Remember, the good lord made a few perfect heads. The rest, he covered with hair.
Loved the Golden Gate footage.
I'd have a shit-eatin' grin myself! Thanks!
Happy Thanksgiving !
Right on Eric, can you bee more specific of what music you use ?
I don't write down the artist only because I'm not required too. Maybe I will just for the heck of it from now on. :)
It's fun the way your face lit up when you came upon the GGB.
You are so cute and lovable with your facial expressions. I am ready to take you home with me. I'm ready to buy an RV and travel as well.
Do it! (The RV buying part) :)
Dear Eric & Jax, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you guys get some turkey! So sorry you hurt your head, that looks painful as heck! Got to watch the rest of the vid now...don't let jax O.D. on the catnip! That was really cool tho! Peace out...
Do you know how many monster movies have GG Bridge destroyed?
Daniel Ferry 2 that I know of...
Godzilla and Pacific Rim. Those of the recent ones I have remembered.
Great view of SF golden gate erik, hope you past true the hart of the bay Hayward ca

It is so easy to see why one could leave their heart in SFO!
The clip at 2:47 you were just entering my town haha if you turned the camera to the right when you passed that hill you could have seen my house
if i would have knew he was coming i woudla!
You can buy omeprazole over the counter Eric. They sell it in that walmart you were at. I take it everyday.
Are you getting a woody going through a tunnel? You gotta get out more often.:)
Why do you think everyone in San Fran drives a shoe box size car? There ain't no parking. And they live stacked up on top of each other like cord wood. Welcome to libland Eric!!
pardon my Green Acre quote "farm living is the life for me" i could'nt live in a city
Hope u had a happy Thanksgiving.
I did! Happy Gobble Gobble.
man looks packed to me..I would go back to boondocking ASAP
Smaller cities do better for me.
That gate isn't golden. It's more a red rust colour...
I hate driving in S.F.. My son goes to college there. By they way in Ca. it is Illegal to honk in a tunnel unless you are broken down and blocking traffic.

Glad you got out of Oakland before the whole Ferguson think went down. Oakland is a tinder box waiting to explode....
Yeah, California IS very unfriendly toward rvs and truckers. And if you leave JAX in the RV while you're gone, make sure you keep him in his crate, or away from the windows.

Thanks Danne for confiming my choice of book. It's a "can't put down" easy read kind of book. It's also interesting to compare 60's USA to Today.
Yes Martin Sage, I agree and now I think I may have to reread it all over again. Hey Eric, let us know if you decide to read it or not. Some people are just not readers.
Did you like the muffins?
Be careful going out in Oakland at night there are lot of riots going on right now. I should know I live in the area.
Stupid GooTube dropped my subscription for your channel off my favorites list so I am playing serious catch up... but loving the journey! Thanks for sharing!
The only legal use of a horn is for a purpose related to safety.
Be careful some towns/cities enforce the ordinance.
I beat you to San Francisco by two months. I was there in September.
Bobby Brantley I'll be back soon. :)
Big cities are scary....
Park in Redwood City in front of my house and we can jump in my small car and I can show you SF.
Parking in San Francisco sucks even if you're driving a Smart Car. It's almost nonexistent.
that scratch on your head looks like the nike logo
Haha. It does. Swoosh!
Dude thats not just a mark it looks like a full on fuckin dent!!! holy shitballs!
The whole notion of finding parking for an RV in SF seems impossibly quixotic to me......
Just watching some of your videos with my brother. His gaydar went off when he saw you. He thinks your a cute cub. Whatever that means...Have fun
That script is about 80 dollars
Naw, Omeprozole is under $20 and Loratadine is about $10. $30 a month.
Nomadic Fanatic
