    The electric ark furnace will not happen the cost of electricity in the UK is to high twice the cost of electricity in Spain

    So have you spoken to any contractors who play and integral part in the day to day running of the works for decades ??👌 and will we also get the same redundancy package as the tata personel??

    Blast Furnaces are a dying process EA Furnaces are faster cleaner & don't need trainloads of minerals to produce steel Brymbo Steelworks in Wrexham had them in the 70s & European steel companies are going the same way

      I really don't think so, take a look at the rest of the world's iron and steel production. And THAT'S not accomplished by melting scrap in an electric arc furnace!!
      2,022 World Steel Production = 1.9 billion tons. By country. China 1,000 million. India 140 million. Japan 86 million. USA 80 million Russia 75 million. South Korea 66 million.
      UK = 6 million. { Vietnam 19 million. Mexico 16 million. Egypt 10 million. } Reference China, India, Japan et. al. You'd need quite a large amount of scrap for that tonnage!!
