- Hey peps. Just a quick video on the top 5 hated things about the srt4 caliber. I have owned it for about 6 years but it was never DD'ed so nothing big of problems have happened. I would like to know what you guys dislike about the car as well. Comment below :)
Love my 2008 caliber Srt. Brings a smile to my face when I drive it. Most don’t even know what it is when they see my license plate… turbo, head work, injectors, tuner, exh, HP, idk. It just runs good. Not the fastest but definitely not the slowest in town. Stays inside. Funny my 60k truck stays outside that’s how much I like mine!!!!!!
I have one in mint condition in my videos, thank you for this video. It did have the sunroof leak. Of course, I live in Florida. I used a thin seal and so far no more leaks.
nice man, just bought Csrt4 myself and for now no issues. Keep posting videos good work!
Thank you. More coming for sure :)
1-no parts 2-doors to light 3-trunk and hood to heavy 4-seats stains 5- miss mine.
Too*
I test drove one of these last week. It felt that the center of gravity was too high, it felt like I was about to rollover at anytime while going in a loop.
most hatchbacks feel like that.
just bought my first srt4 3 weeks back, all black. Love this car, my parents have one also and thats why i decided to get one for myself.. people can hate all they want but i love the look of it, interior could be better tho.. btw your headlights look sick might go for something like that, also have to lower it a bit
Thanks for the love.
Would you recommend me trying to rebuild one of these from copart ? 😅
Just really depends on what happened to it and why its there.
@@hildrethj01 one of my family members owns a body shop . Would you think it’s possible to do a charger front end swap on srt 4 caliber 🤔. Call me crazy i know 😂💯.
@@18thSTVATO anything is possible.
Do u think this would be a good first car for a 16 year old or should I go with something N/A; Is it as reliable as many say?
For a first car I would go with something like a civic. This car is getting old and getting harder to find parts.
@@hildrethj01 Also, does it have a hydraulic clutch?
U can get awd trans conversions from jeep but I think they were only cvt I could be wrong tho as I have not done any research on it yet but slowly working on it so one day I can go ballz deep in the build ... do u have vvt?
The jeep AWD conversion is 5 speed manual
That’s a really good information
Do you have any knowledge for installing blow off plate on caliber? Thanks!
I have never installed a blow off plate tbh.
Installed it yesterday, sound like this

@@tima5196 sounds good
@@hildrethj01 thanks 😁
how do you like the blow off plate sound? dont know should i go for a blow off plate or hks bov
What is the most reliable sites in your opinion? So many of the forums are outdated
tbh if you have a facebook there are some groups with some good OGs and myself that are in
modern performance
what parts are discontinued on it?
just about everything lol
Struts and coil springs are discontinued, engine all aluminum with steel sleeves around pistons that crack easily that if not caught in time can crack aluminum block and sleeves hard to find, oil pump discontinued lots other small things.
However struts and coils on Non turbo Caliber and 07 Jeep Patriot will fit srt and easily available only issue is that it raises car height 1 inch higher than stock and need alignment done after install.
Or get coilovers which will almost lower it to ground and ride rough and bang a lot on ground not my idea of comfortable ride.
Do you have any parts forsale for the csrt4?
Nope 🙅🏻
@@hildrethj01 you know anyone thay does?
@@stevenmclaughlin8556 a group on fb. People sell on there.
Is 160km for 6k with broken sunroof worth it?
just all depends man.
yes
Do you have the solenoid boost control deleted?
I do not.
Got rid of my caliber srt4 love the power but they build that car like some shit
sheesh still clean & fast go awd
be quicker if it was AWD tho.
@@hildrethj01 Off the line AWD is best but high end speed FWD is king.
