@@kreeskalay7042 Yes, I was under the impression that it detected the changing Magnetic (B) field and not the Electric (E) field. It certainly cannot detect an ElectroSTATIC field!!
The second I push the button it lights up an makes noise without touching it to anything. I can hold the button a few seconds to turn noise off but light is still on with no change touching it into outlet or wires. . Can't figure out how to work it.
What the hell did you say man??? What's a yeeez? Oh YEARS.. with an R in the word. Honestly that bit at the end even closed captioning couldn't decipher.
Now that’s what I’m talking about no bs, very informative very short you got it brother you K ow what’s up
Why my tester flashing . That happen one time ?
It detects an electrostatic field, electromagnetic field, or an electric field?
by sensing a very small amount of current that is capacitively coupled from the live circuit to the tester and back to ground
My tester does not sound when I touch a live wire. It lights up okay. Also, the bleep does work when I switch it off. Am I missing a setting?
Does this help help.fluke.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059378251-Fluke-1AC-A1-II-Volt-Alert-how-to-turn-on-the-beep-function-
Otherwise, it may be faulty and best to bring it in and have one of our team look at it.
Excellent - just what I needed to know! (Not sure it can detect 'electrostatic' fields but that is just me being picky!)
That's how these things work, they detect the electric field put off by "hot" electric cables

I expected this device to turn green or something - if things were "Safe" - but I guess just 'not making a sound' - is how we know, right?
Yeah it dosent light up or make sound if there's no electricity present
RED LIGHT MEANS DANGER....
Nicely done 👌🏻
What does it mean when it changes blinking from 2 short to one long
For lay person using that meter you did all that talking and you still don't know if you have to push a button to turn it on or just point it
Does it randomly beep? Occasionally it will beep when touching seeming without a current. What does this mean?
Is it detecting static? Like when you rub it on your arm? If in doubt bring it back in for our team to check that its operating as intended.
The tester is no bielinking what is problems
You’ll need to bring into the store to check. Don’t use it when unsure.
When you say AC does that mean these testers does that mean these testers do not work with DC current?
That's right. It needs a varying magnetic field to work. DC doesn't do this.
What's is the problem
Couldnt tell you without looking at it. If you have any concerns please bring it back into the store before using
And why does rubbing it on your arm make it light up?
static
@@SydneyToolsTV this tool is supposed to sense only AC, and static electricity has properties of DC energy. But is no way AC energy.
Last a year ?

Best bring it back in to double-check.
Mine stopped beeping. Only light works. Could it be battery?
Best bring it in to be safe.
Goede professionele uitleg 👍
How is get it?
Is my fluke defective or is it normal that sometimes when i turn it on there is no sound? I had to turn it off and on again till the sound works
Bring it in and we'll take a look.
If you hold more then 2 seconds turning on it goes into silent mode
Hold it for few second when turning on.

This one is a real bitch to get the battery case open.
Will this work on car wires?
It's intended for use between 90v and 1000v. So no for most wiring in the car.
@Jarska that`s de correct answer!
Me olvidé como funciona
