Having owned a previous Outback, I have to say they are one of my favorite car brands out there. I just love their ethos and the rugged styling without being too rugged. It's tough but not so tough that the ride is messy and the interior is cheap. I like that it really does blend the outdoor enthusiast vibes with everyday practical vibes as well. It's not like a Jeep that can get noisy on highways and uncomfortable when your driving down the highway. I like that I can go to my 9-5 during the week and then hit the trails on the weekend and it can get me pretty much anywhere
They should've made it a 2.4L Turbocharged 6 Cylinder with a 9 speed auto, would have made a HUGE difference, and a lot more people would buy it for that.
Want to buy but burned twice with issues. 2014 Outback blew valves with only 104,000 miles and 2014 Legacy was having issues before daughter traded it for CX5.
I highly recommend driving a jeep Cherokee Which is made by X Mercedes Benz engineers and way nicer Materials, technology, power, and features. It has a button that will park itself parallel or perpendicular without your help and is faster than the Forrester XT with the turbo as it gets 31 MPG Why buy a four-cylinder non-turbo with a CVT. All things aside it’s the most boring combination you can possibly get with the cheapest manufacture on the market
The wind noise is literally comparable to the wrangler which is sad because they’ve improved the wrangler so much it drives like every other SUV out there but way more fun
The more I look at this car, the less appealing it looks. Subaru has over done it with the cladding. The rear bumper looks enormous. The interior on higher trims looks great, though. Overall, I prefer the previous model, especially the 2015 - 2017 run.
Manufacturers continue to use cut. 7 grand to replace. Does not last long. I guess it is cheaper for manufacturers but expensive for consumers. Also the rubber band feeling
You'll have to look to other videos to find out. I've heard its one of the better CVT's out there, but can give too much throttle at time, and too little at other times.
i'd own some sort of subaru today if they had a better reputation for longevity- there are just way to many reported problems to consider anything but a lease and that's not even vaguely interesting....
The 3.6R was dropped after 2019 so it's not an option with 2020 (only 2.4L aspirated or turbo). The turbo makes the same power as the 3.6 does/did.) I have a 2018 3.6R Outback.
Cvts are essentially the best transmission. Very efficient and good for sports cars as well. A lot of race cars use cvt. Now that subaru has consistantly been doing them for 8 years I feel like the have made a good transmission by now. (Cvt inst great for towing) well it's a unibody wagon that tows more than crossovers like the rav 4, the rogue, the escape, equinox and any other popular crossover. Get a cheap dedicated truck if you have to tow
@@Corkfish1 I haven't seen any other company leap mounds like subaru has to keep their customers happy. 100k mile warranty is awesome. Plus people dont know how to maintain their cars so it's probably the customers fault for not following instructions. Never once had a major Issue with subarus and my family pretty much exclusively buys toyotas, hondas and subarus. Subies hold up just as long

definitely my next car

Can my college graduation come any sooner so I can get a full time job and buy this exact vehicle 😭

the direct injection will get carbon build up in the valves.
I'd love to see TRD and Modellista do something to address all that plastic up front.

How's the CVT?

Still no electric model. Still the same 2.5 engine block they've been using. Very loud on cold start.
And still the useless, ugly roof-rack
@@danieloherrick6332 why is the roof rack a challenge?
6 cyl 3.6 is a ripper.

No worries cober, put another shrimp on the barby and crack a can of VB........:)
prawn not shrimp
Gutless cvt super unreliable, Subaru does not know how to build cars anymore.
Subaru with CVT no thanks'

@@Hallowsaw yeah that's cold comfort to someone who has a Subaru with sub par re sale value. 100,000 miles is nothing these days.
Subaru has an excellent CVT transmission.
