With all the great guitarists mentioned that influenced Kanami's playing style, I think it's fair to include the expressive/emotional playing style of David Gilmour in the conversation. You hear it in Puzzle, Daydreaming, Bubble, Endless Story... etc. These are songs where Kanami shows her smooth, soulful side.
I came across Band-Maid around 2017 and was instantly hooked. I did notice after some interviews with them that Kanami was vert different in those interviews from what she was like on stage. I nicknamed her Dr. Mincho and Ms. Kanami, although it didn’t seem to catch on lol.😊 She is quiet and reserved away from the stage and becomes a guitar beast on stage.
Thanks, I really enjoyed this. I'd love to see you react to the rest, even if only to give me an excuse to watch them again myself (they're all this good.) The order they were produced and released in, iirc, was Saiki -> Kanami -> Akane -> MISA -> Miku, Miku, Miku, although I'm not sure how important it is to view them in sequence. Also, you actually let yourself listen to a song not yet in your record. The piano piece early on was her original composition for "Daydreaming", another quintessential Band-Maid song and the most wonderful example of Kanami communicating with her guitar solo. Ty Franck described it as "a howl of pain" and it hits hard. It's the one that makes more fans cry. Highest recommendation from me.
Who is that? That's not Jon. Jon has long hair. It sounds like him, but it doesn't look like him. If you want to see Kanami going full Mincho mode, that first part shown is from the 2019 Summer Sonic performance which is available at William William and starts at 20 minutes and 20 seconds as the prelude to Moratorium.
I love Ohrenje's Band-Maid documentaries. He did superb work on them! 🤘
I love Mincho's green PRS. I like her Addictone tone much better :)
@@GaryHolloway-810 I guess it's an addictive tone :)
@@Jonas_S_ Lol. It is. That Addictone sounds harmonious without the harmoniser :)

Kanami's play drew me to the band. From there each member "wowed" to stay.
This series of documentaries are a treasure for their fans. Professional, informative, funny... Kanami, guitar hero.
Thanks, Jon, nice getting your insightful glosses on Kanami's playing.
You have really insightful comments! Really so much you made me aubscrbe.😊
Kanami🥰She seems to be the most kind and caring person in the world. Love her.
