I thought that was a Husqvarna Viking machine! Mine is an older version, without the thread cutter, but still works great. I love the presser foot feature on this machine. I gotta try this idea! I've been on a mug rug kick for the last month or so; just made two in the last two days.

@@AmeroonieDesigns I lose interest in a long drawn-out project rather quickly, so that's part of the draw for me. Plus they're just so doggone cute!!!

Wouldn't it be easier to iron a heavy weight stabilizer on the back piece, one on the front, quilt, and bind the edge?
