Lol kinda like marijuana, used to hide grows but now I'm in the legal marijuana industry and have several businesses and I'm making bank and no HIDING anymore and the cops can't do SHIT😁😏😎
@@hollywoodhustlng4071I don't even smoke weed and always found it ridiculous how its illegal. U cant overdose on it, what r u gonna do? Smoke so much u eat a lot of food? Lol.
There will only ever be just one PopCorn Sutton and the Feds took him away from us, with 1000s of corrupt cop videos all over the net doing far worse this was a travesty a complete grotesque miscarriage of justice to harass this living legend over shine when cops are murdering people is Ludicrous.
A friend gave me a mountain dulcimer yesterday, and I've become obsessed with learning everything Appalachian. Then I came here. Now I wanna build a still.
This shows that great care and Quality still exist. Observe how Popcorn Sutton takes his time to do things right. Even the way he starts his car- with great care. People today buy a brand new car and it's toast in 5 years..Lol!
True art at work. When I watch all that goes into making the moonshine there is no doubt that it is an art. I know he had his big new stills but the true art to this craft is finding a good hidden location with fresh water and then building your furnace with the stones that are laying around, even the way he made his clay was unique. I know there where alot of moonshiners that came before him and he carried on their tradition but I believe he was one of the best and a true artist of his trade.
Amazing movie - you must see the full 1.5 hour version. It's what you might call slow watching, but there is just something about that glimpse of his lifestyle that is very cultural and he is just a truly decent human being. JB is also a character that adds to the film.
I remember as a kid my mom and dad taking me to see my mama and papa Jones my uncles Berlin Alvin Chet James and my mama's sister Aunt Flaucie. Man the stories that I heard. And the food that they made. I'm telling you for poor people they laid out a spread like you ain't never seen. And believe you me you ain't never tasted nothing no better.
excellent rare docu, many many thanks uploader , kudos to filmaker neal hutcheson for just catching this in time......and keeping popcorns story raw and unadorned
Thanks for uploading this, I lost my copy of it. I never got to meet my uncle popcorn so this was the closest thing I had. He was a hard working man that loved making shine. R.I.P Popcorn
The more I watch this video the more I realize how fucked up things are, and I'm a police officer shh. If a government official has it out for you then you're done and that's not the way it should be. This man lives in the backwoods where you couldnt find him if you wanted to, never hurt a fly, said that he was quiting which is 100% believable because of his age and yet they still put him in a situation where he felt the only way out was to take his own life. I'm glad where I work isnt like that
i saw this on North Carolina ETV....so i bought a dvd of the "last one"..i take these youtubes are the ones that didnt make the final cut..i have emailed Neal several times...we chat a good bit....is their any way these can be put on dvd??.... i guess i just can't get enough of the man , Mr. Popcorn Sutton...
Brings tears to my eye- here in the East of Finland hills, we have made moonshine for centuries. My own grand dad was a notorious moonshiner and I made my first still when I was just 15 years old :)
well you know that he lived his dream and to die in it so give respect to him like this comment if you will always respect him and how hard it is take make it and run it
man the good ole days must have been boring as shit! but them old timmers sure know how to do damn near anything! as a kid I was amazed at what my grampa knew how to do. he's quite a few years gone now, but the apple tress out back still produce 4 types of apple per tree, it was fun learning how to graft orchard trees. he was a comercial fisherman who owned his own boat, a cattle rancher w/ 3 ranches, worked at a lumbermill and was in the merchant marines. whish more people where like that.
Ole popcorn lived life like the 1950’s paused. The simple life with no needs of today’s technologies and electronics that we all live and breathe. We couldn’t imagine not having our televisions, cell phones, iPads, gaming systems, PC’s and the list goes on. This man could careless of all these material things we all use daily. I admire him for that and have a lot of respect for this man. I just wish I could have sat down with him just one time and listened to all the stories and obstacles he endured in his life. The feds should have let the man be.. he is no harm to anyone. He could have lived another 20 years enjoying the simple life he loved so much. I think he was done running shine. Heck him and J.B. both aren’t able to make shine anymore. It’s hard work and if the feds hadn’t punished him by the time this film was made why bother? RIP Popcorn you are a legend of your craft.
The video you are watching has a man who truly once lived. Marvin "Popcorn" Sutton. This film is a documentary filmed by Neal Hutcheson under Sucker Punch Pictures and has been retitled from "This Is The Last Dam Run Of Likker I'm Ever Gonna Make" to "The Last One." Filmed in 2002, it has been re-released for a 10 year anniversary edition and 2 years after Popcorn committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning in his prized "3 jar Ford." He sold his recipe to Jamey Grosser who legally distills.
In Mr. Sutton's time he did what was needed to make a livin' the time may be coming you and and your's may need to as well. Please show respect for everyone's way of life.
I think the man had a good soul, he did what he knew, he did it well, and In do not think he would really hurt anyone. The authorities could have made arrangements for the man to serve his sentence without taking away the poor mans dignity. God bless him
what would be something good to make a pot out of? I was thinking a 55 gallon drum but stainless steel ones are like 900 bucks brand new and the cheap ones are all galvanized, any advice/help?
it makes me sick that people like popcorn sutton are disappearing and we are losing the art of moonshing i wish i knew how because i want to keep the art alive
wild how does popcorn make his sealant paste i have a lil leak and would like to know how to fix it with the paste its around my tri clamp gasket inst sealing right thanks bro...
a living legend ... needs to go down in the annals of history - can't believe people still living like this - north / south ? who gives a shit ? this guy Sutton rocks!
This man's death is tragic. The grand ole irony of our country gentlemen. Fight the British because they tax us. Tax our liquor/people because the Revolutionary War put us in debt. Start another war that still continues and will never be won. You were a soldier and a patriot to the end Popcorn, thank you; may you rest in peace.
thank you for this video i have been looking for it i just found the torrent thank you for the inspiration to find it ... i now know someone has it somewhere...thank you wildlife
Thanks to modern technology Popcorn lives on and many many people can enjoy his company, learn how to make real likker, and share the same disgust for the system that brought an end to a legend.
@larrydpetree Furthermore, moonshiners and distillery don't force the bottle on a person. It's done willingly. Don't blame distilleries and moonshiners. One way or another, an alcoholic will get his hooch, a junkie will get their fix, a smoker will find their nicotine, etc. Get real.
I enjoyed popcorn's likker and my cigarettes most all my life I've got one jar of his likker left and it's to be put in my box when they lay me beneath the could clay along with a pack of L&M full flavored shorts my blue jeans and white tee shirt and my ol hat
O common, I'm not american nor british, I am mental continental-Europe they say- I'm Polish. Don't blend politic with the real life. That movie makes me crying. BEAUTIFUL! I wiszh to have a chance to meet him before he died.
@hparker619 Popcorn was a distant relative of mine, and it was about 10 years before his death that I last saw him. I know that he had been in trouble with the law since the 70s, and I think he was convicted about 5 different times. From what I've heard from people closer to him than I; is that firefighters were responding to a fire at his place when they discovered his stash. Even though his book or docs didnt have anything to do with his conviction; it's still unfortunate. Was a kind man to me
I am from the south and have friends around here from way up north and we grab a jar of shine on friday saturday night and get drunker than hell. Good people are fine by me no matter what part of this country they come from.
I can see them busting other people for running liquor .. But Popcorn was a true legend .. They should have just let him be he wasn't hurting a damn soul and was a damn good man .. Rest in Piece.
ive got a few in my family still running shine in Tennessee Popcorn isn't the last but he will be missed by real Americans. RIP popcorn.

Man, I love Old Folks. There's a certain resiliency, confidence, honesty, and peace that exends from 'em 'cause of Experience and Wisdom.
i could watch sutton all day long, their needs to be more people like him in this world
There will only ever be just one PopCorn Sutton and the Feds took him away from us, with 1000s of corrupt cop videos all over the net doing far worse this was a travesty a complete grotesque miscarriage of justice to harass this living legend
