For those who do not understand why a stock harness runs power and ground wires to everything, where he is only running a power, most car computers (especially older ones) only use ground side switching with a constant power as it is easier on the transistors inside of the computer. With his (presumably more robust) management system he can use constant ground and switch the power side, while also using the computer as a digital fuse or circuit breaker of sorts. This seems like a really solid product for those who do not want to build a fuse block and switch panel.
This was good. Much needed info. The tid bits that get everything we want to in our vehicle work, explained. Well done hoonigans for adding this bit... P.S. Read the subtitle "Other people working on Vin's car" hahahaha The Kelso "Buuuurn!" compilation should be adding by the days. =D
If Rywire makes this system plug and play for several applications, he will Control the Wire market. If he manufacturers a Digital Data Logger that displays information and has protective measures like AEM Infinity he would need a much bigger warehouse and staff for all the sales 🤔
Hi great system love it if I'm wiring this to a 1jz vvti could I use this to work the multiplex wires on the ECU to work like Ac, oil light ,charge light, speed, engine temp, rpm, cooling fans that sort of stuff or is this only for race applications
There is one with nads. who apparently is just as tall. Or pretty close. He is pretty short. Easier to get at them wires!! Just pick him up and drop him head first into the engine bay!! Like that dude on the crane in madmax!!! bahahahahah
This seems like a great system. A cheaper way to fight the in rush current, is to use another type of fuse than a melting fuse. you could use a bi-metal one, like you use in a factory ventilation system.
Awesome video! I just started teaching myself about logic based circuits and programming. It's great to see how all of that can be applied to a car. I'd be interested to know more about the signals going down each line. I'm assuming that all of the outputs are running pwm?
damn so this kit replaces most of the old wiring in the cars? Because I wanted to get rid of my old wiring, and this kit seems like it does that. But of course you got to cut things to wiring them up with this kit.
Great products and information, not as hard as it scenes if you know how to follow a Wiring Diagram/IPB. Thanks for posting and good luck to Chase biting on this.....
Only question is why have a ground for every connection in the rear end? Would it not be simpler for diagnosing and wiring to combine them into one? Imma noob so I'm just tryina learn ya feel
Nadia is literally saying that she'll let THE PRO'S DO THE WIRING FOR HER! Not all this other bullshit gabriel is spitting out of his mouth. Even if electrical is made easy, doesn't mean it's easy for everyone, just because a pro simplifies the fuck out of it.
@gabriel3gbass Mate, some people aren't that confident in doing wiring even if Rywire has made it easy. I personally too would leave it to a professional to wire up my vehicles. If I had enough experience in building cars then yeah it'd be a piece of cake.
PWM is a way to control a motor's speed by switching the motor on and off rapidly. Its not a type of motor. Majority of DC motors can be controlled by PWM.

yes, but it's also a pretty basic kit for stripped down race cars. Pretty much excluding hvac, power steering, dome lights, radio, etc.
Are these solid state systems suitable for a daily driver? Pros and cons?

Are there options to add additional inputs or output? What If more circuits are required?
