It's amazing how different he interprets this piece compared to other recordings. The middle voice is much more pronounced, the rubato at times immense. It has much more energy than most recordings. Therefore an interesting and vital interpretation of one of this greatest compositions!
That's exactly what a thought when I first heard this! I thought it was just a piano cover of it, but let's just say it's one of my favorite songs now.
Its to mirror the characteristics of Nausicaa. Joe always mirrors certain defining characteristics of a Ghibli story into his works varying from broad and clunky to soft and gentle. This is just further proof of his mastery and brilliance more than anything.
The music in studio ghibli is so impactful. Leaves me in awe. I feel nostalgic and melancholic. Two beautiful feelings
This music contributed half of the world building in Nausicaa, just so elegant and nostalgic at the same time.
For me the best movie of Miyazaki and the best song of Joe Hisaishi
Do you watch Star Trek Enterprise?
4:39 probably the most beautifuk thing on piano I ever heard
You should listen to Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto!
"Nausicaa of valley of the wind"
I love Joe Hisaishi's piano music
I instantly recognized it was from nausicaa lol
Listening to the master perform is an unparalleled experience.

It's always reflected in my soul... I can't describe my feelings. This music is the best thing i've ever heard

His most beautiful song along multiples masterpieces. What a composer...
I gotta say this must be my favorite Joe Hisaishi song of all time!
Merry go round is the best
sonidos bellísimos, me tocan el alma. 💜
Joe Hisaishi Claude Debussy and Erik Satie they have this thing in common where they create beauty out of tones
I love Joe Hisaishi's piano
What a wonder, it's so fantastic, relax the soul.
Usted y su piano dos grandes talentos.
I never had a "favorite" UA-cam channel until yours was made!
So you finding your favourite channel coincided with Joe creating his?

@@appleislander8536 I apologize. I didn't know that american english did not use the "u" in some words like colour or favourite.
@@WhenAllTheWarmthLeavesUs OK bro. All's chill.

This piece is simply magic, thank you for inspiring my daily life!
Odd that this didn't show up in my timeline. Lucky I was on the front page of my recommended
Check the channel if you haven't already, there are many more that didn't show up in the notifications, probably because there were so many uploads.

The Save Room music from Resident Evil is so much like the start of this music.
It's beautiful fantastic, i love this song

who dislike this? like they have no heart /;(
Save Room from RE + Celeste's Quiet and Falling both sound like the start of this

Who the hell gave dislike to this video?
misclick, I assume
I think it was two persons who don't have any heard. It's a shame ti dislike this
Nobody's going to mention that 0:50 sounds like golden wind? (or vice versa?)
Yuuup! That's that
i just noticed it too maybe yugo kanoo was inspired by it
Thanks, now I understand why it seemed so familiar to me
I actually think that part sounds more like the “Christina I” theme from Steins Gate.
That's exactly what a thought when I first heard this! I thought it was just a piano cover of it, but let's just say it's one of my favorite songs now.
Did he just sample steins gate ost - Christina
