I'm most certainly in the minority here, but I really enjoyed the favour system when I did it on my iron. As far as early game progression went, it felt good having an excuse to train skills while simultaneously making permanent account progress (completing favour). A lot of the specific methods were unfortunately pretty bad efficient-skilling wise, so I wish they were made to be more competitive. For example, it would be cool if making dynamite gave competitive xp rates, but you can just buy it directly or get arbitrarily high amounts getting it for free daily or CoX. I think it would also be cool if they could alter the charcoal making process so that the produced charcoal would be substituted for regular coal as an alternative to shopscaping it from blast furnace.
As someone who started playing only about a year ago, I can confirm this opinion - it was nice having something to work towards, and having small goals to achieve while getting to know the game in general. It was a simple system, but felt very achievable unlike most other things that felt far out of reach
@@themosthighvaluemaninthega9048 As in the concept was fine. going around houses to get the player to visit the whole of zeah & act as a starter for zeah related quests.
On the nails for Pisc cranes, you can buy them from the shop in the same building as you repair the cranes. So the only barrier would be collecting planks.
It'll be interesting to see if they re-lock the kourend teleport for people who already have it. I wouldn't be confident they'll remove the architectural alliance though. They might just tie it behind the other 5 region quests, or the diary, or just a straight sequel to client of kourend. Maybe if the update gets delayed enough you could make it to wintertodt for limestone bricks and put the portal into your house
Love the idea of the second channel for you! I Imagine most of your videos take months to make so if you can post some bonus stuff that isn't as time intensive for you, it'll be great for you and the community :)
Regarding Watermelons, if you can a bronze spear from the hobgoblins on the Hosidius peninsula, you might be able to make a scarecrow. Then you could protect sweetcorn, if you're willing to give up the output from the hosidius flower patch. And from there, use the sweetcorn to protect your watermelons. Edit: alternatively, just try to get a nasturtium seed lmao
I don't think Kourend teleport spell will relock if you already unlocked it, just the paper will come from the quest instead of the library. Kinda like Ardougne tele.
I don’t think the range you’re using is the one locked behind favor, I think it’s the one across the river from your chunk that’s locked behind favor (it also gives an invisible cooking boost)
Yeah that was the point. He was saving the sharks to use on that special, Boosted Range. But now there is no point to wait, so he might has well dump all the sharks now.
favor would be a cool idea if the rewards were better. I wouldn't mind repeatable fetch quests or something of the sort similar to factions in New World.
They likely could have just kept the Favour System had they not made Lovakenj and Pisc favour so horrible to get when you're just starting out. But no, it's all getting nuked instead haha. Fine by me either way, but still.
i find it that favour should be reworked instead of removed because well it sucks right now but its a decent concept they would just have to make it actually fun
Removing the favor system is such a stupid idea. Their are fun houses to get favor for like Arceus, Hosidious, and Piscatoris. Then there are tedious houses like Lovakenj and Shazien. They should just improve the tedious houses favor.
I don't mind getting favour personally but they already improved/sped it up like 3 times and new players still tell me that it's not that great or engaging. so maybe that's why Jagex wants to remove it because Zeah will get a lot of attention with the Varlamore release and updates
@@AlsoVerf As a new player I can attest that Favour is still a massive chore for people like me. I do think they could rework it to be more interesting, but I respect them not wanting to.
no you don't need that dumb miniquest you just need to find the teleport scroll in the arceus library lmfao please don't give advice if you don't know what you're talking about
You need the mini quest to teleport to the kourend heart (the market place) with the xerics talisman, I think he was talking about that not the kourend teleport@@lilpullout
Would the mine cart change mean that you can have more potential chunks when rolling for unlocks? Snice there is no requirement for minecarts you can now access no adjacent chunks when rolling.
was a great listen! Looking forward to more rambles!
Really enjoyed just listening to your commentary in a long form video. Big fan of the second channel!
Hopefully you’ll get farming done before the changes, but other than that it definitely does look like a net positive - excited!!

improve lovakengj favour, and it's all fine to keep the favour system
@@DonYagamoth Favor was fine but they should have just made it like 3-4x faster or made it more fun
So basically, if they made it good, then it would be good.
Yeah, man. I agree.

if you can't complete your snapegrass before the changes, you can protect them once you unlock the farming guild with white lillies
I would really like to use all the snapegrass for the current farming goal because it gives me the most banked xp
White lilly seeds are way rarer than Snape grass seeds.
@@idiatico yes but you arent suppose to pick them every time. You can just leave them there and they will protect allotments permanently.
@cupnoodlegaming1004 oh yeah forgot about that, been a while.
you're not supposed to pick them EVER the point of them being there is to stay there@@cupnoodlegaming1004

i thought i saw a jmod say they are changing locking the spellbook due to restricted ironman complaints?

Ramble video was great. It’s always interesting and enjoyable to listen to your thought process.. etc
Love the ramble style vids :)
I wish they would finally do the graphical rework of the three northern houses
Yeah they did a good job on Shayzien and Hosidius so I'd love to see that
One thing i was hoping for is to be able to recharge the telebook without getting mage xp for my lvl 3 skiller, but that was a long shot i think
The Lovakengj Minecraft Network xdd
Will you make chunks reachable by minecart rollable?
I will keep Limpwurt rules because I like to keep it simple, so I will only roll chunks directly connected. No teleports or canoes, minecarts etc
goe bezig jenge!
I don't think Kourend teleport spell will relock if you already unlocked it, just the paper will come from the quest instead of the library.
Kinda like Ardougne tele.
Oh that would be awesome
If you reach the minecart network, will each possible minecart be a new chunk?
The Dynamite is made with the Volcanic sulphur and is the only use for it.

Exciting stuff ahead! Does the crane repair change trigger a 99 construction grind for you? Or do you need a saw to do that 😂
It would be if I had a lot of regular planks and nails
The farming is some good motivation to grind at least
Wow subscriber #246 an absolute honor to be here so soon
favor would be a cool idea if the rewards were better. I wouldn't mind repeatable fetch quests or something of the sort similar to factions in New World.
removing favor completely instead of just improving it/making it more enjoyable AND rewarding is a HUGE L
but w/e
no it isn't. there's no way to improve it because nobody actually likes wasting their time on favour.
They likely could have just kept the Favour System had they not made Lovakenj and Pisc favour so horrible to get when you're just starting out. But no, it's all getting nuked instead haha.

This update is long overdue, the favor system was clunking, and an unnecessary time sink.
You will still be able to use your Kourend teleport u already unlocked the spell.
i find it that favour should be reworked instead of removed because well it sucks right now but its a decent concept they would just have to make it actually fun
Gll!!
The volcanic sulfur should also make ultra compost. For player's like yourself, ability to make ultra would be great.
Xoxo
I liked favor :(

nobody asked jagex for easyscape
nobody asked jagex for time wasting content either
You were putting to much faith in the xeric talisman, when to teleport to kourend you need the Architectural alliance miniquest completed
But that to unlock that you basically need favour in all houses, if favour is removed I feel like that miniquest is just gone haha
@AlsoVerf they could change the mini quest to require all kourend quests instead.
