hi rod hope to see another video soon. i know life changes and things get busy but we all appreciate the videos no matter how short or long, even just a drive on the highway with music in the background if you prefer not to talk.
I would have loved to be able to get a decent auto instead of having to change thousands of gears a week back when I was running , truck still would have been making me money !
PACCAR reports a full 80% of all new trucks ordered from them are being spec'd with automated transmissions. WHY? Because the trucking co's are tired of replacing clutches while young drivers figure out the gears. !
I wouldn't blame 'young' drivers, there's barely any young blokes getting into truck driving now. It's an international driver issue, unskilled people that never get trained properly cause damage.
Makes it easier to find a driver, just point them in the right direction. Unfortunately, there is little or no training or trainers to teach new drivers. But I have to say this new auto is the best that Kenworth has made, (just my opinion) changes are a lot quicker and smoother, not sure about the reliability, time will tell.
When the K220 and Eaton endurant were first introduced 2 years ago there was approximately 70 percent of new Australian built kenworths being manual transmission. This number may be less but I would say a majority are still manual
Rod so good to see you're videos again i enjoy every one of them you have been missed safe travels

@@shortmemoryIt gets the job done. Might not be for everyone, all have our favourite trucks, okay for me.
I like the Volvos more then the Mercs but if I get a Merc I'll still drive it as it'll make money for me I also like the K220s to.
