What key? Why can't you just say it.
Thelonious Coltrane it’s in the key of B Knobhead
Great great song. That overdrive is nuts
Would you like a nice cup of tea Giles.
Lesson starts around 23:06
His observations about the universal nature of the struggle to learn an instrument are soothing
Where is the beginning riff?

You're a chip off the old block, from what I've heard... my nan worked in the rugby club in Regent's Park serving sandwiches, and she said your dad was just the ultimate British gentleman, always immaculate, poised, and had a 'gorgeous speaking voice'. John would come along, but none of the others. She was a tank, and she said there were times she had to grab drunk fawners by the collar and walk them to the door with a warning. Gladys, a force of nature.
What is the iconic intro
Many many Thanks, you did push me more deep in this songs...
how to play outro riff than john lennon plays
Wow so accurate
It would be nice if I had 6" narrow fingers instead of 3" little stubby ones.
Pretty damn accurate. :)
You missed the most important part of the song. The Beatles tuned their guitars up two steps! So your notes and chords are correct, but played entirely different. No offense, but you should really do your homework much better than this.
Two steps, or two half-steps? On the video, Lennon appears to be in the key of A. Harrison appears to be playing in B.
Agree, the Casino is tuned up. John is playing A,D and E chords. The intro is played on the 5th Fret.
If you tune higher the notes will have a higher attack. With yesterday the song tuning was lowered as McCartney had learnt the song in G, but Lennon said it will sound better in F, but it gives the guitar a softer tone.
Not correct.
The song is somewhere around the key of B flat, not A or B.
If you ping the recording against a digital tuner you will see that. The issue is the original recorded tape speed, which was slightly sped up above standard tuning on playback and mixing. Remember, you can microtune a guitar, but you cannot do that with the electric pianos used on the track from back in the 60s....
Regarding the actual Beatles performance video, only the vocals are live. The instruments are the original recording. As such, John is playing the chords in A, just like on the slower White Album version. If you want proof, watch George in the video; he is not playing any of the upper register fills throughout the verses and rest of the song that are on the recording, and yet they are heard in the video. John is not playing them either... And, there is no one playing the electric piano in the video....
For live performance, I have always just capoed on the first fret. It will not be exactly like the recording, but close enough so that you can perform it with a closer vocal, and no special tuning required.....
And, this is an excellent instructional video! All parts are accounted for accurately... Wish this was around many years ago when I first learned the song....
@@DrErnieGibson You're right. One step, two half steps.
John's not playing it like that. (At least on the video) He seems to have the Casino tuned up and playing A, D, and E chords. The intro, John is playing on the 5th fret (A). If you are George Martin's son, you should have more access to how they played many songs
You're absolutely correct and that's how I play John's part too.
Not correct.

Too much talk! Borrrrrrring
This video is perfect ngl
Not boring. We here to learn
Typical young kid with no patience and has to have it now now now.
It's that exact attitude, no patience, no discipline when I first picked up a guitar at 15 yrs. old that has me actually learning now at 63 yrs. old. We didn't have the Internet with hundreds, maybe thousands of people generously giving their time and knowledge to us for free. I'm grateful. They can talk all they want, if it's boring I just fast-forward to the teaching.
