It’s the same chuck as it’s predecessor. It was the predecessor (DTD171) that had the major upgrades up the front, doing away with the needle bearing etc.
Easy days , looks for top of best , in drilling , driving , and not so high of cost spent of powertools .... almost 4 years later......I spent 12 v max drills 333 with 2 battery's and charger's...in the cases.....12 v max so great ....better than !!
Do you have other XGT tools or do you plan on buying other XGT tools. Both are great impacts, I wouldn’t launch into a new platform for just the impact.
@@SydneyToolsTV I will have to buy more tools like circular saw, multi tools and grinder, I really want to invest the money in good tools, I'm starting my journey in carpentry and I don't want to invest twice. Thank you! You are helping me a lot.
@@2hotscottpro I just got it, and I can tell you something, it's not about the 40v, but the precision, is so smooth! I don't even know how to call that feeling, it feels extremely smooth and powerful
if you keep it locked, click the trigger and the light will stay on until you press the trigger again
Didn’t work on my XDT16 This inpact has a big learning curve I’ve ever seen.I have impacts and drills from about every brand.
@@2hotscottpro xdt16 doesn't have that feature
Mine does that but when I drill it dont turn on anymore? It happened to me last time just don't know how to change it
been out in Japan for a while...I got a purple one
Impact driver's , are super , Bright's brains of powertools... believes it, done very great
When is the TD173 coming?
For a company that went and added changing tunes to their chargers, its no wonder they make them like little computers now.
Is this the model with the "ring of light" or is it just the small lights on either side?
On ya Tim 👍 better get that Tamworth shop open asap 👌
can impact tool used in drillings?
is this better than Dewalt DCD996P2-QW?
Can you turn off the impact mode for light work?
@@andrase435 no
Are there other brands and models where you can?
Bring on the dtd 173 yee hah!!!
Didn’t mention anything about chuck improvements!!

My light wont turn on while drilling only on lock mode?
Nor mine any ideas how to get it to work when pulling the trigger
@@JasonWindebank Google search makita xdt19 light settings
Or hold the black and white button on the drill while on lock mode for a few seconds

So same as the last model besides a different display and shaved down a bit.
