Ba'al really is the most entertaining of the System Lords. While most of them are delusional, stupid, or self-absorbed enough to buy into their own propaganda that they are gods (or at least deserve to be worshiped as such), Ba'al merely finds the charade convenient to maintain his power.
I think it's more than that. He seems to really enjoy playing into the whole god thing while being completely aware that he isn't one. Probably really gives you a sense of superiority.
so the reason they ended it the way they did is becuase both SG-1 and the audicance knew the outcome. To save the audiance from experiancing a broken heart and to give the him a respectful passing, they left it like that.
Kevin Durand, aka Zipactna, also once upon a time played Joshua, a transhuman with a little too much Great Dane in his cocktail, on a 90's series called Dark Angel. The cast also included Jessica Alba and Michael Weatherly. It's well worth a look if anyone's looking for untouched TV series to react to.
02:32 - yeah about that. Exactly 3 seasons later they do come. Since he is currently at s8e09 with reactions i cant say any more without spoiling s8e16. Let's just say Replicators do come for someone. And it will be glorious.
Except for all the times they DID kill Daniel Jackson. Then when they killed off that one main character. And in SGA when they killed off that main character, and that one, and that other one. Or in SGU when they killed of those other ones. But yeah. They never kill off main characters on Stargate. 🤔
Zipacna was killed offscreen unfortunately. What I couldn't understand how Teal'c and Jacob/Selmak could survive the poison, but maybe they were far away when he activated it.
They explained it in part in the episode. Elliot would wait until the Jaffa brought him to the StarGate at which point he would release the poison to clear the area. Of course SG-1 and Jacob wouldn't be close enough to be affected.
@@Greghouse The plan is a bit stupid, they could have had (I forget the Tokra's name) exit Elliott's body and he could have used the poison at the gate as planned, then they could have picked up Eliott as they went through the gate saving both of them from its effects since it doesn't harm humans without a symbiote.
I know you're much further along in the series by now, but re: the treaty with the System Lords. The treaty is ONLY with the Goa'uld that are part of the System Lords Alliance. So rogue Goa'uld like Nirti and Anubis are not bound by it. Technically the treaty should force the System Lords to stop rogue Goa'uld from attacking protected planets like Earth, but there's no way for the Asgard to prove that they did not try, should Anubis succeed in attacking Earth.
Well it's kinda logical, in the beginnings of the show we can see they tried to make some worlds where English wasn't a thing, but it took a lot of time to just communicate with those "people", so eventually they dismissed this part for focusing on the story, cause story is the reason you are watching the show, right? 😏
@@leightoncressman6188 That's a very interesting idea, but it's not working for some episodes, on the other hand gate builders also made mistakes so it is possible they forgot on some languages... I guess we'll never know for sure :D
Speaking american english - Could have something to do with all the millions of humans taken from earth by the Goa'uld and now spread all over the galaxy. Just saying. Tho for show purposes obviosly it's better that all quest actors did not have to lean a new language from scratch. The Ba'al Era is finally here!
The next few episodes are going to be big like emotional rollercosters
The goals are eating the symbiotes as a display of dominance
and a 'funny' bit of realization is that it is technically not cannibalism cuz it is the host that eats the Symbiotes :p

I love the stare gate sg1 vids Ty for doing the reactions
Kevin Durand is a good actor I hated his character Keamy in Lost but I like his character Fet in The Strain.
He’s also from my home town Thunder Bay.
