this video describes need of three addresses. this concept is very basic yet so important to understand computer network.

if a packet comes from internet then my router can just send it to my private ip address why Mac address is needed then
so when MAC is gonna be change and replace in routing process, why pc assigns it?

Is MAC routable outside LAN? As far as i know MAC is use in LAN to communicate to each other. A LAN has 5 machine connected, When a particular machine request for a data/website. That data packet entered into router by using IP only. After that it goes to switch of that LAN. The switch add the MAC address over the packet along with IP and order the data packet that, by which machine that data has been requested ! Or in other words, It helps data to id that particular machine on a LAN. If MAC is not available, then the data packet will not understand that particular machine connected in LAN and that same data can be visible by that all 5 machine in that network. Router works on IP only outside LAN to fetch a Website ! That's what i know.
hello. you're not wrong but somethings are missing like if you notice the amazon server didnt actually received senders mac address hence its true its not routable outside particular network but because internet is network of network to forward data from one network to another network mac address plays significant role and without it even routing is not possible. in short each device in network let it be switch or router knows mac address of all devices that its connected to and using mac address we can only send data from one node to another node but using ip address we can send data from source to destination for ex your computer to amazon server. so when packet travel from source to destination the field of mac address keeps changing but ip address remains constant.
