The Gentleman being a water Genasi just like Jester's father is rather coincidental. I mean really just a coincidence, like every Firbolg knowing Pumat Sol.
Spencer Carr Well as rare as firbolgs are, Genasi only happen when a human and a genie get together so that’s a pretty slim coinicidence

Welcome to Critical Role, where a bunch of nerdy-ass voiceactors get TPK'd by blood magic from across the continent within the first 5 minutes because they gave a shady criminal a vial of their blood each.
Perhaps, but he is discerning enough to see that they wouldn't be likely to fully use it against them. They may be shady, but overall have a bit more honor than that to someone who has done nothing but employ and help them (and as far as we can see for now, not be a completely evil bastard).
And if he wanted/could to kill them with blood magic he'd have done it already.
@@Auntiebels Also, if the Gentleman knows that Jester is his daughter, I doubt he would harm her. He seems to have some honour and love in his heart, or he wouldn't have fallen in love with Jester's mother.

Not sure how breeding works with the Gentleman's race. Though so far we know he can have children with tieflings so perhaps Ophelia Mardun had a child with him? Or maybe she just has like a double-digit number of brothers and sisters all across the continent X3
