    ℹ️ FYI:
    1. Ready to use gosari (Fernbrake) can also be found in Korean grocery stores.
    2. The 4 sides that I used in this video are typical ingredients that can normally be found in bibimbap, but seriously there is no rule for it, so you can grab whatever Korean sides or vegetables you have on hand for your bibimbap.
    3. I fried all the vegetables separately for a better appearance. However, many times, I just fry all the vegetables together at once in the same pan. For example, I start to fry the onion, then add carrot and zucchini, then add the green onion, and so on, based upon the cooking time of each vegetable.
    4. This recipe is good for 2-3 servings.

Aeri, that looks beautiful! I have never seen the gosari, but I am going to find it. I love new foods. The sauce looks exquisite! Am I supposed to make a porridge with the crispy rice or just eat it? Thank you for the great video and recipe 😊

I have a confession. I’ve never ordered nor prepared bibimbap myself, however my hubby loves it. I do enjoy the taste but for some reason I rather have various Korean stews or bbq when we dine out. Also here’s a fun fact... I’ve never ordered kimchi bokkeum bap at a restaurant bc I often cook it at home. Lol
I had no idea that you can use the hot stone pot on the flat cooktop. I always assumed that those were meant to be used with fire underneath. Now I don’t have to deprive myself anymore. I’ll be purchasing a couple very soon. Great video as always Aeri! Many blessings to you and your family. 💖

I normally don't order bibimbap and fried kimchi rice restaurant.. especially never ordered fried kimchi rice.. maybe it's because.. it's such a easy Korean food you can make at home... I want to eat something I normally wouldn't cook at home when I eat at a Korean restaurant.. lol Thanks for your cheerful words. love ya ~~ 💕

Aeri I noticed that you spelled kimchi like gimchi... this is interesting to me bc I notice many Korean foods are spelled differently by different ppl. Some examples are:
    tteokbokki/ddeokbokki
    Kalbi/galbi
    Etc...
Does this have anything to do with ppl possibly growing up in varying regions?

    • @aeriskitchen
      @aeriskitchen  5 років тому +3

It is a very good question. There is a romanization rule for Korean letters... when Korean alaphabet didn't have a clear rule for it.. it was all over the places... some people spell some korean words.. this way.. and other people do the other way...I don't know where and from who it started...but It's been a long time people write the name "Kimchi, Kimbap" and start the names with "K" like that.. if it's really proper pronunciation to spell..it is more close to use "g" for it than "K". so it should be "gimchi" not "kimchi"... but it's already spread that way to the world for a long time... more people familiar whit Kimchi ... so that's why people just use it that way. (it's my guessing). it became more like "proper noun" like other famous food names in the world.. like "pizza, sushi, pho, etc" Because of that.. if some people who don't know Korean language or just found out kimchi.. they might prounciate it with k sound not g... so I wanted to introduce the romanized names for kimchi in this video. btw I'm impressed by your sharp question 😉

I just bought a small dolsot off ebay but not sure if it's good. Do you know where international viewers can buy a proper dolsot?

    • @aeriskitchen
      @aeriskitchen  5 років тому +1

Hi, I can totally understand how you feel about buying something.. you
can not know if it's good or not.. until you use it by yourself... and I
bet it wasn't that cheap if you got it from ebay.. my guessing.. (Can I
ask how much you paid include shipping? ) what size was it ? ... I have
2 kinds of dolsot bibimbap.. the one I used in this video.. and other
videos are the same one.. I've been using it for over 5 years now..and
it is still pretty strong and good... we use it often for our dolsot
bibimbap.. Since I got 2 of them for my husband and me.. before our boys
were born.. or babies... we needed more with our growing family... so
last year I got 2 new ones from Hmart (Korean grocery store..).. they
had 2-3 different kinds..and I picked something different from what I
had before.. to see how it is like..They are prettier.. look more fancy
than the one in this video... then... you know what... in a month.. both
of them got chipped.. on the edge of the top part.. when it banged
little bit with other dishes.. from the experience... I like my original
one even better.. lol how strong it is.. The original one, I also got
it from a local Korean grocery store before we moved to here.. it was
much cheaper than the ones I got at Hmart.. so expensive ones don't
mean or guarantee that they are stronger or better product... I hope you got a
good one.. I will answer the same thing I did to the other person who
asked me where to get the stone bowl.. I said... "for the
ddukbaegi... I will give you a link for one product from amazon.. it
had the best review for it.. (I didn't use it so I can not guarantee the
quality..but many people liked it.. so it must be good to try..) amzn.to/2N0zapO Hope my reply was helpful for you.

Chinese food mostly based on Oil and Japanese food is mostly based on Sea food.. Beef nah... they stole the cow from Jeju Island...and they made it Kobe beef......... Japanese stole so many goods from Korea..
