@@forkstaf1918 oh come on. The chaos here isn't that bad. For that i brought some more! Do you want some cake decorated with mustard and filled with toothpaste and some orange juice as a drink?
Guard Bro Miniature Reviews "Models are Fun." Agreed. I almost went bald until I figured out how to get air bubbles out of mold cavities and to cast certain things separately then solder them on. But now it's a fun way to occupy time. And a better DnD experience for my players to boot.
The prints look a little overexposed I think. Detail could be sharper with a couple tweaks to exposure time. Overall pretty good, just needs to work on supports as you said. the 3d printing pro channel has great tips for that. Remove the supports prior to curing after soaking in some hot water. You can get almost no support damage that way.
The supports aren't mainly to keep the model rigid... they are for providing contact between the dangling model and the build plate it needs to hang from. With insufficient support you get smaller parts printed into 'space' and not attached to the parts which would join them which are printed later (i.e. any separated detail on the underside of the model needs a support touching it), and a wrinkle of resin prints is that the surface tension of the resin and the surface area change of the model can pull a print off the build plate. Additional supports can add more adhesion to the bed preventing this to a degree. FDM prints have a similar set of constraints, but the details differ - there you do have a more flexible extrusion which can fail in bridged areas or overhangs, requires support under lowest points, but there is usually less risk of the model detaching once you have settings and set up correct. Absolute print quality is a bit lower, but the process is cleaner, with no resin to handle carefully and models needing to be washed and cured.
Thanks for the review. I was considering getting some of these models. I am recently so disappointed in GW female models. I get what they are doing but honestly I want at least some hot female models. I can’t really see myself in the gw female models. But I really like the Qrtisan Guild models.
eyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over all i think they look really good for printing in my dining room
Thanks for inviting chaos to this comment section, neckbeardia.
