I am a yoga teacher and this is fantastic! This is fast for beginners not to have a teacher right there to guide but once you start understanding the sequence (probably 2nd time around you do it), this is very beneficial class. This is the first class where you dont need to be able to do power handstands etc that can be hard to modify. Most people can do these asanas, you may just have to hold the planks a little less or knees down for chatarunga! Well done!!

i like the fact we can hear you breathing clearly.. as i am a beginner and often get confused if I should be breathing in or out. I know the teacher tells you, but it all goes so fast that I end up pretty much hyperventilating trying to keep up lol.. i guess it will all become second nature with practice.
What makes you think a video called "Power Yoga" with the words, "rigorous" and "cardiovascular" in the description would be trying to appeal to people who haven't done much yoga? Bryan's flow here is amazing and actually much slower than many of the Power Yoga practices taught around the world. Those searching for a less rigorous practice would do well to check out Bryan's Hatha Yoga class. - Rob
I admire you so much for being able to talk during your sequence!! :) I'm only 16 but I hope that if I keep practicing yoga I can become as good as you are when I'm older.
@tigergreg8 I think it's challenging even for an advanced yogi; when I imagine my 55-year old mom and the hard time she has with downward facing dog, I don't think she would come halfway here :-) It's a wonderful sequence though, very inspirational & balanced, I'm going to steal bits of it for my class tonight! :-) Thanks & namaste!

Thanks so much for your videos. My hamstring injury has improved tons tons during the two months that I have been doing your videos. I have a question about the balancing squat. You do it with your knee going straight forward, but it is much more comfortable for me to do it with the knee going out about 45 degrees. Is this an acceptable modification? What is the difference? Thanks again.
Yoga is about feelings, movement and connecting body and mind. It is for everybody! You do not have to be as flexibel as an gymnast or strong to begin. Yoga is not about performance, nothing you do in yoga are supposed to hurt, you can go as far as your flexibility alouds you to, but not further. The more you do this the better you will get and you motor skills will improve! :)
Done this sequence so many times over the years (100's I'm sure) I have it completely memorized. Still my favorite!
