you actually need to build battleships with carriers. Carriers not only have to be screened by three screening ships, each carrier also needs to be screened by one battleship/battlecruiser. Otherwise it increases the chances of them being sunk

@@Curtwhogames heavy cruisers screen carriers too and they're cheaper than battleships
@@Curtwhogames Four Battleships with as much AA as possible. I built four Super Heavy Battleships as the US to escort my carriers, but then sunk the whole Japanese Navy in two engagements. (*sad noises*)
@Curtwhogames I usualy just make cheap Heavy crusiers with light guns to do small damage to enemy screens while protecting the carriers who do the real damage
@@sld1776they really do need to rework how navy works lmao, entire navies shouldn't be getting wiped out in so few engagements and there should be penalties for stacking your entire navy into one battle.

carrier 2 are also good, do need 1 Heavy ship to screen each carrier ideally though as well, I just like to live life dangerously

From what I understood Naval Defense affects armor, so its mostly useful for ships that already have armor like battleships and less useful for carriers, subs and destroyers.

I Haven't no, I might do in the Future but the way I learned was watching a load of different videos ( Disaster saves are good) then just trail and error. I believe Bitt3rsteel released a complete tutorial recently so I would check that out

Do Ice carriers build, they only require 1940 carriers, are only bit more expensive than normal carriers, have twice as many deck space and you can put normal airplanes on them

I might be mistaken, but I am pretty sure that taking the coastline completely would have blocked Japan from taking any land directly and would have made the p[ossibly puppeted China much easier to deal with.

You can spy nonagression japan and hol out till 1939 , until this point you can steamrun one china, and produce ships.
The raiding fleet can help you to create unvisible destroyers and heavy cruisers to cover your carriers.
Just put the cheapest setup with the most speed and reduce visibility with traits and spirits.
use interwar plane with no aluminium torpedo bombers. alternative is cas bomber.

Any chance for background music change? It sounds like defeat, like down and depressing. Which is weird when you are winning and building glorious navy, but the music sounds like your fleet sunk and only back to menu button is left

Navy Indonesia or Navy Hungary with King Horthy and land cruisers(I'd recommend console otherwise it takes way too long)
