Thanks Liz. I am glad you liked it. I like the angle as well. Unfortunately the wide angle view makes anything further away seem smaller. Like the waves which were over head high that day. That's why I zoomed in a bit at couple times to give a better idea of what the waves looked like. Albeit still diminished
Thanks Chuck, sorry for the slow reply I have been travelling Regarding the nose mount I experimented with the circular Insta360 mount and even their stick but it did not stick so I went back to the Gopro slide in mount. I ended up using 7 of the 2 way hinged connections tighted with nuts and bolts except one downward facing thumb screw to act as a support on the board. I had to set it up before attaching the gopro sliding plate so I could see were the support hit the board to get the right position for the plate. The hinged connections seem to bend only on big crashes helping to absorb some of the shock for the camera. I found adding just 2 hinges allowed for a much narrow field of view which I preferred. Still working on adjusting the angle to better capture the foil. So I am up to 7 hinges with a slide in Gopro mount at the bottom and a screw in insta360 mount at the top. This makes for fast set up. I use 70lb test fishing line back to the Chinook plate clip. Can't seem to paste a photo but hope this helps.
Thanks Adrian for the reply. I will experiment with the GoPro set up you described. Otherwise looks like will be in Maui 6-17/18 Nov. Will you be there then? Planning to bring my foil board & Gofoil & rent sails. Thinking 5.0, 4.0 & 3.0 sizes. What sizes do you recommend? Thx Chuck!!!
@@chuckr3398 I think those sizes should be fine. If you are renting they will usually let you exchange if they don't work. Have not booked anything but hope to be there in Nov.
Great video! Love it!
Thanks it is a lot of fun
I like this camera view, gives a better feel of what it's like to be out on the waves with you

Another excellent video Adrian! Love the forward nose view! How is your camera attached to the nose of your board?
