Interesting how the butterflies sense that doggie is friendly, so they land on his head.
I think butterflies and moths can remember from their life as larvae, maybe they recognize his smell or something. But yeah I agree absolutely interesting and fascinating.
I think it’s not really so, when butterflies first emerge from their cocoons, their wings are not strong enough to take a right away fly, so at that moment, we can do whatever we want to them easily, pet them, put them in our hands or head etc.. the butterflies don’t fly away by that until they are able to

@@putifarrii I wouldn't necessarily say, they cannot sense, if someone isn't a threat. A butterfly similar to this (not the same sort though) played with me like hours, played with my hair like flying extremely fast towards me so I had them hair in my face, later landing on my hands or head for few minutes. Never had such an intense experience with a butterfly before.
And overall regarding insects and sensing threat.. idk for sure...it seems they at least know when u r not a threat.
I get along with little creatures and different spiders (not insects, I know:)) very well, but this was on another level.

I love this! Go Milo the immortal doggo ✨🌷✨ (and disney princess) p.s the stress part relating to canine mortality should really be published more elsewhere. It sounds like common sense but often people think dogs and anything in nature can transmute or take a lot of stress just because they are upbeat all the time, and don't show the stress in really obvious ways. People should really take note of this and ensure their environment and behaviour towards their dogs (and cats) are stress-free.

It is astounding to see how large dogs seem to instinctively be so gentle with small, delicate creatures. Most dogs I've known are safer with babies than a lot of people. Yet they are capable of playing rough, when it is appropriate. Watching Milo interact with butterflies is just amazing!

My mom was given a diagnosis that she had two weeks left to live. She sat out on the porch that evening and the most beautiful monarch butterfly came up and landed on her hand. Those two became inseparable buddies. He would go everywhere my mom went inside the house outside the house he would land on her shoulder arm hand or finger and they were just in awe of each other. It gave my mom this wonderful peace. It was the most beautiful thing ever to watch those two together he stayed until the very end. Her whole funeral was themed on this butterfly and they're amazing Bond such an unusual but amazing event. Love you Mom will always remember you and your little friend. Hope you two are still bonding in heaven love you Mom see you soon sincerely your son. 🦋🙏🦋

Were it not for people like in the video, caterpillars would be all eaten by birds, larger insects, and small lizards and mammals. So yes, we are definitely disrupting and disturbing these creatures who are being given a real chance at life. They're still outside, numbskull. They just are being fed with plants and have a little mesh around them to keep them safe until they are able to fly away free.
