There are some people who are disgruntled about this (and my other video) who should really calm down,. Take a step back and look at it for what this really is.
I’m clearly NOT a Rangers or Celtic or Liverpool fan. This was an experiment to show that there’s nothing wrong with representing your team wherever you go.
This doesn’t just apply to me, but to everyone. The staff at those clubs didn’t mind at all, so why should anyone else care?
And it’s typical almost everywhere else. It’s common for American sports to wear the jersey of the opposing team. Nobody cares. In Rugby, you can wear a different coloured shirt and watch your team. Nobody cares. I could even walk around West Bromwich in a Wolverhampton shirt and guess what? Nobody cares. Is it a crime in Glasgow, I’m not so sure anymore?
If after reading the above statement you’re still ‘offended’ by this, and think that it’s ‘disrespectful’ - you’re fully entitled to your opinion, of course.
But explain to it me. Tell me why?
I don’t even understand why people would be offended by this, it’s just you enjoying a stadium tour representing who you support, what is wrong with that?
You'd be surprised - the reaction on Twitter has been overwhelmingly negative. I even made some of the papers, which I totally didn't expect.

Mata MacLeod most educated football fans know about the rivalry though. He went on a stadium tour with about 5 other fans and actually took an interest in both clubs.

It's a horrible crime and anyone suspected should be investigated and charged accordingly, regardless of their club. Do I get brownie points for supporting rangers and travelling from Plymouth ( 12hr coach , watch the match then straight back ) ..... I am a Plymouth fan first then a rangers fan ( does help that I married someone from clydebank and her family support st Mirren ) .... I couldn't see myself in a Celtic shirt cause to me there is only 1 team that play in green and that's Argyle .... the Celtic tour is better than the rangers 1 ... but they are both better than the st Mirren 1 ...... side note , right into chewing the fat at the mo ..... Brilliant video. As a Celtic fan seeing you go into Paradise and be treated well and enjoy the tour was great. Not at all surprised you were treated better at Celtic Park. Having lived my whole life in the west of Scotland it's always been my experience that we have the more tolerant and accepting set of fans. Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but definitely more accepting. Glad you enjoyed it!

Great video. I’m a Rangers fan and I enjoyed it. I hope someone from Rangers sees this and thinks about how people are welcomed at the club, and also about how we can improve the tour experience. I’m glad you enjoyed Ibrox even if I’m disappointed you liked Parkhead more, but I can understand why.

David Watt it really wouldn’t have mattered wether it was known beforehand or not, the fact he had a camera with him and an English accent is enough reason for them to suss him out. It wasn’t only the staff who warmly welcomed him, it was also the Celtic fans who were doing the tour. Willing to get a laugh and a joke, letting him walk down the tunnel first and even applauding him. All of this would have went on wether or not they knew he was coming. Rangers fans wouldn’t even sit next to him and had horns beeping at him in the streets giving him the fingers etc. No joking or humour from the rangers fans that were there. They wouldn’t even stand next to the guy, like he said it was as if he had a bad smell. Giving him death stares and generally making it an uncomfortable experience. Total contrast to the celtic fans. Also this is all with him blatantly recording the events, they fans can’t even put on enough decency to be civil to him in front of a camera. They knew just as much as Celtic that this wasn’t normal and no doubt sussed it out too, but they still allowed the hatred for Celtic and Celtic fans to shine through which comes across so obviously in the video. Please stop fooling yourself believing Celtic were only more welcoming as they ‘knew he was coming’ .. it’s quite embarrassing. Rangers fans at the tour were unhappy he was there, Celtic fans enjoyed it and had a laugh. The evidence is in the video, don’t know why it’s so hard for you to believe.

No disrespect to Rangers and I'm not tarring everyone but he's an Asian doing the tour of course things may be a little different than if he was white protestant. Likewise if you went to Celtic Park as a fat bald Englishman with a swastika tattoo you would probably feel a bit unwelcome.

One of Scotland's leading sports journalists , Graham Speirs , who grew up a Rangers fan , and who has attended many matches at Ibrox , both as a fan and journalist , wrote an article about the inherent bigotry and sectarianism that exits within the Rangers support . As a Glaswegian I am happy with welcome you recieved at both clubs but equally as a Celtic just a bit happier ours was a bit warmer. That being said I would love to go on tour of Ibrox for the architectural features alone it looks stunning. I say I'd love to but I worry I might combust like a vampire exposed to sunlight.

Take it: Eventhough I have a season ticket at Celtic and hate rangers, the Glasgow teams come together and mourn the death of stars aswell as tragedy. The reason Celtic was nicer was because when Brother Wilfred started Celtic as a club open to all and it still is today.

Just a wee bit of info for you. There was a celtic fan turned up at Ibrox with the full celtic kit on at Fernando Ricksens funeral, to lay flowers. He was roundly applauded by the Rangers supporters.
Next time you do a stunt like this, make sure the rivals shirt is not sticking out if your shirt.

Celtic is a Scottish professional football club based in Glasgow, which plays in the Scottish Premiership. The club was founded in 1887[nb 1] with the purpose of alleviating poverty in the immigrant Irish population in the East End of Glasgow. To Nicky Power: Probably not meaning harm, especially, in today's climate with a dollar, camera and a mic with social media experimentation blossoming in unusual vicinages. I'm sure that the tour group knew what was going on. However, this cuts both ways, harkening back to the historians who witnessed heinous happenings compared to a want-to-be internetty-star spitting on the sacred soil of Scottish soccer. He should try to do the same thing in the U.S. hood with the Bloods and Crips.

Really nice video! I am a Lazio fan and I went to Glasgow to see Celtic-Lazio (UEL match) so I stayed 4 days in Glasgow and I did both tours. I have to admit that Celtic’s tour was just a tiny bit better!

There is a difference between an intense rivalry and hatred/hooliganism
An intense rivalry is about an electric atmosphere, the crazy desire to be better than the other team, and also the history of the rivalry
Hatred/hooliganism is just being absolutely stupid and taking things too far
It's alright to dislike a team but you should be able to welcome them as well
As a man city fan, I think to myself, "who the hell would want to be a man united fan" but I would never want to stab a man united fan.

Rangers fan here, and do see the funny side of it, doesn't offend me at all. I do think there's one obvious reason as to why there was a slightly frostier reception around Ibrox though. Celtic have been enjoying a period of domination while Rangers have had to endure a painful rebuilding from the bottom leagues up. It can very well be perceived as gloating, kicking dirt on us. I hope you're not using this to try and paint a picture of one set of fans versus another, as you were clearly trying to provoke a reaction from this. Both sets of fans are incredibly passionate (something that's being lost in English football), so you can be assured that if roles were reversed so would the response. Saying all that, didn't seem that bad! You'll need to come back and experience some games. A packed crowd at either ground is electric.

Whether we like it or not, both clubs are symbolic of either sides of the religious devide. It’s unfortunate that it is more than a football rivalry, but the size of support of the two clubs and the fact they both have traditionally competed with each other have a huge part to play in the context of the rivalry

Absolutely not a true and acurate reflection, a hand full of people on each side is not acurate, I've saw violence towards rangers pub goers from celtic fans personally mate. As have I saw the opposite, there are assholes on both sides, but to say this is an acurate experiment when it had so many variables is just yer own bias.

Trust me they weren't that nice to my Celtic supporting step son who was only wanting a wee look around not a tour, while at Ibrox they showed him around the reception area no problem despite knowing who he supported.

Very good video. Can I add, Celtic are the current champions and have been for 8 consecutive seasons plus they pretty much won every other domestic trophy in between. Rangers are just coming back from an all time low in their history so you turning up to their stadium with their rivals colours is kind of rubbing it in. If the fortunes of these 2 clubs were flipped the other way, you probably would've got a frostier reception from Celtic staff and fans. Like in the 90's when Rangers dominated, they were the top dogs and Celtic were not a threat. It's just psychology.

To be honest, if you were a bit more British-looking (e.g. fair skinned and/or red haired), I think your chances getting into trouble would be much higher. Certainly I would never risk doing something like this myself :)
Also, keep in mind that Celtic is way ahead of Rangers in pretty much about everything for the last decade. If they were on more equal footing, as they were in mid 2000s, or if Rangers were ahead, as they were in the early 90s, their reactions would be probably different.
I don't know about that ... judging from some of the comments out there, I think the reaction would have been the same throughout.
