Jarre is respecting other artists so much that he just sits on a chair on the stage of a gigantic performance show which was phenomenal by the way just to listen to some music together with the audience. And it doesn't take away even an ounce of his own performance this day. He respects the people in the countries he visited so much that he integrated whole villages and towns, both acoustically and visually into his shows, he respects his listeners so much that he visited dozens of places to perform and he respects music and mastered the art to create and perform electronic music so much that not only are we still listening and talking about it decades after, but he also defined the standard of electronic music until today. Born in the 80s I listened to his records playing as a child when my older sister put them on and they still amaze me to this day and forever will. He wasn't playing for his audience he was making love with his audience. What an incredible man and gift to the world. Merci JMJ pour éxister sur cette terre.
That bloody scarf, he does nothing but keep altering it all the way through ha ha. Been looking for this for years, could never find it on dvd or perhaps I missed it. Thanks for the upload
What a fantastic show. You can't get a better setting than the Pyramids of Giza for a Jean Michel Jarre spectacular. Great set list with all my favorites included. 'C'est la vie' was just perfect for the setting, with the live drums and I loved the extra extension to the song. Not too sure about the Natasha Atlas replacement but that's my only nag. I saw the London Docklands concert which was just amazing and then again he did a concert at Wembley. All I can say if you ever have the chance to see him live once in your life then do. His music is always so energized and uplifting. I will be watching this concert again I'm sure.
