Yes, AOR at its peak. The '80s are full of wonders, mostly 1980 - 1986. More like synth-rock coated with distorted guitar and great guitar solos. Another band as a great example is Survivor. 1987 afterwards, they sounded more modern rock which was mainstream at that time, more like hair band in the style of Bon Jovi/Saga/etc.
I owned all of their albums and got so excited when one of their videos played on MTV. I wish I had realized back then how awesome that time truly was!
The entire band was underrated. I still love their music. They kind of fell into a wierd niche of music that never went main stream and as a result the band never really seen super stardom. Its a game of chance.

I don't know how many copies of various Loverboy cassettes I wore out back in the 1980s. Cassettes were the way to go, carry 2-3 in your pocket and throw one in your Walkman and you were all set!

Loverboy...one of the best bands ever hands down and also woefully underrated. Reno's vocals with Dean's guitar licks and some of the greatest melodies snd arrangements of all time. So many hits. I saw a fairly recent interview with Mike Reno and he seem like such a cool dude.

There is nothing like '80s music, no matter the genre (new wave, arena rock, hard rock, hair metal, British pop, etc.). I can listen to Sirius XM "80s channel all day long. Every other "decades" channel will play something after 4 or 5 songs that makes me change the channel.

You were my first favorite group and my very first album and my very first concert saw them at the Syracuse New York state fair on August 29, 1983 7:30 pm, I remember it like it was yesterday.. I was so onfire for Mike as a youngster and worshiped mike a lot...every picture I could get my hands on was on my bedroom wall at the time😊... I would sing their songs constantly practicing and I think as a female I sing most of their songs very well...my dream has always been to sing along side of Mike, still is my dream...in the early 2000's I went to see them again twice at Tags in Big flats New York in the they were great all of the times I seen them perform...LOVERBOY ROCKS!!! ❤💋

Got to see Loverboy in concert back in "83" , Quiet Riot opened for them . We were about 10 feet from the stage.... What an awesome concert .
