    Tip :
Lean towards the tail before you pop
Oh, and do not scoop the board at all. Just snap the tail like you would for an ollie but on 45 deg angle. You want to limit the time where your tail is in contact with the ground. I think this is the key in any 180 trick

I don't skate anymore and I'm not sure I'll go back but I'll offer a tip to get FS shuvs consistently to where you'll never worry about losing it. The motion is similar to walking backwards on the stairs. Sucking up the legs when squatting to do the trick maintains proper form. Get in the habit to squat when doing tricks because it forces your feet to set up the positions for each trick. This habit also helps with landing because you're absorbing impact.
I've never been good. On a good day I would land a varial heel or bs flip but if I go back now? Probably couldn't Ollie straight. It's been a long while. Keep at it.

Thanks bro, I’ll have to try that out. But hey a long break from skating might actually help you progress like it did for me.
